Ludvig Aberg - Golf

This week sees the BMW PGA Championship take centre-stage on DP World Tour with 11 of Team Europe’s Ryder Cup stars in action at Wentworth.

A whole host of big names and talented players are teeing it up at Virginia Water this week, looking to add the coveted BMW PGA Championship trophy to their mantelpiece come Sunday.

SportsCasting are on hand to provide both outright and each-way betting tips as well as in-depth analysis, predictions, a preview and the latest odds.

BMW PGA Championship Betting Tips

Our golf tips for the last few PGA Tour events of the season before the FedEx Cup concluded yielded a few winners.

We had successful each way selections at the FedEx St Jude Championship with both JJ Spaun (50/1) and Akshay Bhatia (80/1) coming inside the top 10.

Add to that our Tour Championship betting tips that saw our outright selection of Tommy Fleetwood (12/1) claim victory at East Lake to win the 2025 FedEx Cup and his first tournament on US soil.

This week, we are back with a further three selections for the BMW PGA Championship on the DP World Tour. We have once again selected one outright betting tip and two each-way selections for the 2025 BMW PGA Championship.

They are as follows:

  • Ludvig Aberg WIN @ 16/1
  • Robert MacIntyre E/W @ 25/1
  • Tom McKibbin E/W @ 80/1

BMW PGA Championship Predictions

Ludvig Aberg to Win @ 16/1

Ludvig Aberg is the fourth favourite at odds of 16/1 with golf betting sites this week, and we think he could claim his sixth professional win and second on the European Tour come Sunday afternoon.

Aberg finished in a tie for nineth recently at the St Jude Championship on a score of -9 par. A top 10 finish when nowhere near his best shows you just how good a player the 25-year-old really is.

The Swedish golf sensational finished inside the top 10 at the Scottish Open recently too, as well as finishing in the top 25 at The Open despite being well off it.

When Aberg plays his best golf, he is without a doubt one of the best players in the world. He was fairly disappointing at the Tour Championship a few weeks ago, but has enjoyed a couple of weeks rest since then and is ready to get back to work.

If the Swede can start hot this week and continue with his impressive consistency, you can bet that Aberg will be there or there abouts come the back-nine on Sunday.

He will also be looking to make a statement ahead of the Ryder Cup in just two weeks time, looking to head to Bethpage with the wind in his sails to once again help Team Europe and captain Luke Donald.

Here at SportsCasting, we believe the two-time PGA Tour winner could triumph at the BMW PGA Championship. At odds of 16/1, the 25-year-old is our outright pick to win this week.

Robert MacIntyre Each-Way @ 25/1

In terms of an each-way selection, the in-form and consistent Robert MacIntyre is another player that really appeals this week at the BMW PGA Championship.

Like Aberg, the Scotsman hasn’t played competitively since the Tour Championship, where he finished on a score of -9 par and a tie for 17th.

MacIntyre didn’t have his best golf that week, but has enjoyed a relatively successful season with a whole host of impressive displays. Although he hasn’t won this year on the PGA Tour or the DP World Tour, MacIntyre has continued to show he is one of the world’s best golfers.

He finished second only behind world number one Scottie Scheffler at the BMW Championship in the penultimate FedEx Cup play-off event less than a month ago, as well as finishing T7 at The Open in July and outright second at the US Open back in June.

On his day, MacIntyre is capable of beating anybody. At odds of 25/1, he certainly appeals as an each-way selection to finish inside the top 10 this week at Wentworth.

Here at SportsCasting we feel that price-setters could be missing a trick here with the 29-year-old’s odds.

Tom McKibbin Each-Way @ 80/1

Despite only joining LIV this year, Tom McKibben has enjoyed a relatively successful start to life in the Saudi-backed golf league.

The Northern Irishman joined up with Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and co as part of the Legion XIII team, who of course recently won the LIV Team Championship.

McKibbin played an integral part in that victory for his team alongside the likes of Rahm and Hatton, as well as enjoyed several strong showings individually this season too.

The 22-year-old finished in T11 at LIV Golf UK, as well as finishing T4 in Andalucía in July and T5 in Dallas back in June too. He also inside the top 20 last week at the Irish Open.

On his day, McKibben is capable of big things. Although he mightn’t win the BMW PGA Championship this week, he presents great value at odds of 80/1 as our second each-way selection.

BMW PGA Championship Preview

All eyes are on Wentworth Club this week as the DP World Tour heads to Virginia Water for this highly competitive and lucrative BMW PGA Championship.

Some of the best players on the European Tour, as well as several LIV Golf stars, are in action in Surrey this week, looking to pocket a large portion of the BMW PGA Championship prize money on offer at Wentworth.

A total of 11 of Luke Donald’s Team Europe Ryder Cup players are in action this week, with the only exception being Sepp Straka.

All of these players will be looking to hit form ahead of the huge Ryder Cup in New York at the end of the month where they’ll face off against Keegan Bradley’s Team USA.

Rory McIlroy could once again be the man to beat this week, coming to Wentworth in red-hot form following his dramatic victory last week at the Irish Open after forcing a play-off with an eagle at the 72nd hole.

The BMW PGA Championship is a straight stroke-play event over 72 holes, with the final group expected to tee off at approximately midday on Sunday.

So, who will reign supreme at Wentworth Club this week and claim victory at the 2025 BMW PGA Championship come Sunday after 72 holes?

BMW PGA Championship Odds

Career Grand Slam winner Rory McIlroy is the outright betting favourite to win the BMW PGA Championship this week following his success at the Irish Open last weekend.

The world number two has won the BMW PGA Championship before, triumphing back in 2014. The Northern Irishman is undoubtedly the man to beat this week at Wentworth.

That being said, the field is stacked full of talent, including several LIV Golf stars too. The likes of Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka and Tyrrell Hatton are all in action on the DP World Tour this week too.

It’s Rahm that is in fact second favourite behind McIlroy to claim victory at Wentworth at odds of 7/1. FedEx Cup champion Tommy Fleetwood is third favourite at 9/1, with Ludvig Aberg (16/1) and Viktor Hovland (18/1) making up the top five outright favourites.

Several big names are priced rather lucratively, so be sure to check out the full list off odds at your chosen bookmaker.
