The 2025 Open de France prize money on offer this week is £2,390,000 ($3.25m), plateauing for the third consecutive season.
Below we have outlined the FULL purse breakdown for all 65 players who make the cut this week at Le Golf National.
$3.25M Worth Of Open de France Prize Money On Offer This Week On DP World Tour
This week sees the Open de France take centre-stage on the DP World Tour after a dramatic BMW PGA Championship last week at Wentworth.
With the 2025 Ryder Cup on the horizon, none of the 12 Team Europe or Team USA players will bee teeing it up at Le Golf National this week in France.
Instead, the Open de France field is full of some of the European Tour’s best and most consistent players, who didn’t quite make it onto Luke Donald’s team for the upcoming Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in New York.
Alex Noren triumphed last week at the BMW PGA Championship, with another strong field set for Le Golf National this week in Guyancourt.
Rory McIlroy currently leads to Race to Dubai by a substantial margin, but the likes of Marco Penge, Adrien Saddier, Kristoffer Reitan and Haitong Li can all close the gap on the Northern Irishman will a stellar showing this week at the Open de France.
Englishman Harry Hall and Canadian Corey Conners currently lead the market with golf betting sites, both listed as the 11/1 favourites to claim victory at the Open de France at Le Golf National.
There is a field of 120+ players in action this week, with 65 players making the cut. The 65 players who make the weekend will in turn earn a portion of Open de France prize money this week.
A £2,390,000 ($3.25m) purse is set to be split between all 65 players who make the halfway cut at Le Golf National this week. This £2.39m purse is the same as it was in both 2023 and 2024.
Open de France Winners Purse Remains At $552,500 For Third Consecutive Year
The likes of career Grand Slam winner Rory McIlroy, FedEx Cup Tommy Fleetwood and DP World Tour ever-present Nicolai Hojgaard are all preparing for the 45th Ryder Cup next week, meaning they aren’t featuring this week in the Open de France.
That could be good news for the rest of the field. A weaker field without any of the 24 Ryder Cup players means a better chance of cashing in some Open de France prize money come Sunday.
Whoever goes on to lift the trophy come Sunday will be in for a bumper payday and large share of the Open de France prize money pot for the 2025 showing at Le Golf National.
Whoever clinches victory at Le Golf National come Sunday afternoon will leave with an additional $552,000 (£406,096) in the bank. With just $3.25m up for grabs this week on the European Tour, there are no seven-figure paycheques on offer.
The runner-up will also pocket a tidy sum of $357,500 (£262,725), with third place also receiving $204,750 (£150,470).
Each player that places sixth or higher will receive a six-figure payday, with the rest of the field pocketing five-figures bar 59th-65th who will all win prize money of just four-figures.
This $3.25m (£2.39m) purse is a fairly standard prize pot on the DP World Tour. It is nowhere near the likes of the Abu Dhabi Championship and DP World Tour Championship for example.
This is a rather substantial decrease from last week’s European Tour event, where the BMW PGA Championship prize money was £6.64m.
Open de France Winners Purse Actually Decreased From 2022-2023
With the total prize pot for this year’s Open de France remaining at £2.39m ($3.25m) for a third straight year, this means that the winners share won’t have increased since Guido Migliozzi claimed victory back in 2022.
Back in 2022 when the Italian won it, which happened to be the last time the winners share increased, he pocketed a purse of €500,000. That is the equivalent of $588,000 today, when you take into account currency conversion from euros to dollars.
Ironically, this actually means there has been a decrease in the Open de France winners purse in the past two years.
When Ryo Hisatsune tasted victory back in 2023, he earned $552,500 (£406,096) for his efforts. Then, last year when Dan Bradbury won the tournament, he earned exactly the same.
This means that from 2022 when Migliozzi won €500k ($588k), he earned roughly $36,000 more than what the winner got in both 2023 and 2024. This figure is also higher than what the winner will receive this year at Le Golf National.
Next year may well see an increase in various purses with additional funding on the DP World Tour, but no official announcement has been made on that just yet.
