Gervonta Davis Next Fight - Boxing

Despite rumours that the fight was in doubt, Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis will officially go ahead after a new location has been confirmed for the super-fight.

Originally set for the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Paul vs Tank has now been moved to Miami, Florida for their November 14 bout.

Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis New Location Confirmed

Just yesterday it looked like November’s Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis boxing showdown was in serious doubt due to problems between MVP Promotions and the Georgia State Athletic and Entertainment Commission.

The bout was scheduled for November 14 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia originally, but has now been officially moved. That’s right, Jake Paul vs Tank Davis now officially has a new location.

Now, the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida is set to play host the the Paul vs Davis fight on November 14. The date has remained the same, but will now be contested in Miami rather than Atlanta.

Heading into the bout, boxing betting sites have Davis as the marginal favourite to beat ‘The Problem Child’. This is despite being at least seven inches smaller than his American counterpart and weighing over 70-pounds less.

The fight will be broadcast live exclusively on streaming giant Netflix, just like Paul’s fight last year with Mike Tyson. Canelo vs Terence Crawford was of course broadcast live on Netflix recently too in their undisputed world super-middleweight title fight.

News of this location change came less than 24 hours after there were reports that the fight was perhaps in doubt. MVP Promotions reportedly began to halt their efforts at getting the fight governed under the Georgia Athletic Commission, which in turn made people think the fight was off.

Earlier this week, it was widely reported that the Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis fight was in doubt, but those rumours have been quashed now with official confirmation of the venue change.

Now, this boxing mega-fight will take centre-stage at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida on Saturday, November 14.

Why Did The Jake Paul vs Tank Davis Fight Have To Change Locations?

Jake Paul’s next fight is now officially set for the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. ‘The Problem Child’ will take on three-weight world champion Gervonta Davis in a mammoth clash on November 14, live exclusively on Netflix.

The reason for the location change is very simple. Paul’s promotional company MVP, who are staging the fight, seemingly halted their efforts at having the fight governed uuder the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission in Atlanta.

With rumours that this was the case, fans began to wonder whether the fight was going to collapse all together. However, that obviously hasn’t happened and the fight will go ahead as planned, just with a slight location change.

One reason why the Paul vs Davis fight had to change location could be down to the Georgia Athletic Commission now sanctioning the fight as a legitimate professional boxing fight.

It remains to be seen whether this fight is a legitimate one, or whether it is just an exhibition. Given their weight disparity between the pair it is most likely to be an exhibition, with both fighters making millions in the process.

If it is an exhibition bout, this means there will be no official winner or losses of the contest. These are just some of the reason as to why Gervonta Davis’ next fight against Jake Paul has been moved from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia to the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
