Magomed Ankalaev - UFC

Ahead of UFC 320 this weekend, MMA fans want to know which world title belts are on the line for the Magomed Ankalaev vs Alex Pereira rematch main event.

Both the Ankalaev vs Pereira 2 main event and the Merab Dvalishvili vs Cory Sandhagen UFC 320 co-main event have world title belts on the line in their respective weight classes.

What Belts Are On The Line For Magomed Ankalaev vs Alex Pereira At UFC 320?

The next UFC pay-per-view show is upon us as UFC 320 takes centre-stage at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The main event sees the Magomed Ankalaev vs Alex Pereira rematch go down following their first fight back at UFC 313 earlier this year.

Here at SportsCasting we are predicting an Ankalaev win with our exclusive UFC 320 betting tips, but write Pereira off at your peril.

The Brazilian is a two-division UFC champion, having first won the UFC Middleweight Title against Israel Adesanya before moving up to 205-pounds and winning the UFC Light-Heavyweight Title against Jamahal Hill.

He has since lost the belt, with Ankalaev now being the reigning and defending champion at light-heavyweight.

This means that the UFC Light-Heavyweight Title belt will be on the line for the UFC 320 main event between Ankalaev and Pereira.

The Russian of course won the 205-pound strap from ‘Poatan’ last time out at UFC 313 back in March, and will put it on the line this weekend at the T-Mobile Arena.

What Belts Are On The Line For Merab Dvalishvili vs Cory Sandhagen At UFC 320?

The UFC 320 fight card is stacked from top to bottom. This is emphasised by the fact that Merab Dvalishvili vs Cory Sandhagen is the co-main event on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

As well as a world title belt being on the line in the UFC 320 main event, there is another UFC Title on the line in the co-main event too for Dvalishvili vs Sandhagen.

Having defeated Sean O’Malley back in September 2024 at UFC 306, ‘The Machine’ became UFC champion for the very first time. In his two fights since, the Georgian-American MMA phenom has successfully defended his belt on both occasions.

That belt is of course the UFC Bantamweight Title. Having won the belt against O’Malley and defended it in dominant fashion against Umar Nurmagomedov and O’Malley again since, Dvalishvili aims to make a third successful defence of his 135-pound belt this weekend.

Should he do so, he would join Aljamain Sterling as the only bantamweight fighter in UFC history to make three successful defences of the 135-pound title. No wonder Dvalishvili is a reigning champion and currently #3 in the pound-for-pound UFC rankings.

Standing in his way though at UFC 320 is a formidable challenger in Cory Sandhagen. ‘The Sandman’ has never fought for UFC gold in his career, but is full of confidence that he has the tools to defeat Merab.

Time will tell whether this is the case or not, or whether Merab Dvalishvili will continue his reign as the dominant king at bantamweight.
