Manchester United have started the new season with just two league wins form their opening six games and have been dumped out of the Carabao Cup by League Two Grimsby.
While, in contrast, under Glasner’s guidance, the Eagles have been flying high – and head into gameweek seven as the only side unbeaten in the Premier League.
Their latest 2-1 win over Liverpool, has also increased the Crystal Palace unbeaten run to 19 matches.
All of which has added further interest in their manager Oliver Glasner as one of the most sought-after coaches in Europe right now.

When Did Oliver Glasner Join Crystal Palace?
Oliver Glasner replaced Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace on 19th February 2024.
He signed a contract at the time till the end of this current season (2025/26) – which is why the speculation on his future is increasing further.

Paul Merson Warns United – Glasner Is “Not The Right Fit For Red Devils”
There might be some good news for Palace fans though – as long as their manager listens to former Arsenal player Paul Merson.
In hearing the Oliver Glasner Manchester United rumours, Merse has waded into to the discussion – saying the Austrian is “Not the right fit for United.”
Talking on SkySports, Merson added that he’d be concerned about Glasner going to United.
Backing this up by saying “He’s a three at the back man and it is being proven that it is a system that just doesn’t fit the players at Man Utd. Glasner is not a good fit for Man Utd.”
However, despite his warnings, Merson also added that if United did come knocking for Glasner, he’d find it hard to turn them down.
He said that it’s been proven over the years that managers have found it hard to turn down Manchester United.
And despite what’s going on at the club – their name is still one of the biggest in the game “How do you turn that down – you don’t” Merson concluded.
