Now, they face the other biggie from Manchester, Man City, and the challenge could be much tougher.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have been below their jaw-dropping best this season, already suffering two defeats in six games (W 3, D 1).
After amassing 10 points from six games, they sit in seventh place in the rankings, already eight points behind Liverpool.
While Man City have been below their best, there is no denying the fact that they have one of the best squads in Europe.

Erling Haaland has already scored eight goals in the Premier League, and he only seems to be getting started. Haaland is one of the three Manchester City players, alongside Jeremy Doku and Tijjani Reijnders, who has risen in FPL price changes for Gameweek 7.
Pep Guardiola’s side, however, cannot take Brentford lightly. Their attacking acumen shown through against Manchester United and they would not hesitate to pounce on City defensive mistakes.
