A Manchester United security breach has left players and staff on edge after someone gained unauthorised access to United’s Carrington training facility.
On Monday, a young man breached the security at the training ground and caused a serious commotion.
Having beaten Brighton at the weekend to secure a third straight victory, most of United’s squad were enjoying a day off from training.
Ruben Amorim’s side were 4-1 winners at Old Trafford on Saturday. The win came thanks to goals from Casemiro, Matheus Cunha and a Bryan Mbeumo brace.
Mbeumo was among the biggest FPL price changes after the weekend, having narrowly missed out on a hat-trick.
United now sit sixth in the Premier League table, level with rivals Manchester City and just two points below second-placed Bournemouth.
But while Monday was expected to be a quiet day at Carrington, it was far from it.

Manchester United Security Breach Revealed To Be ‘Prankster’
Most United stars were not on site for the security breach – aside from defender Harry Maguire, who was undergoing some personalised rehab and training to shake off his recent knock.
According to reports, a ‘young adult’ gained access to the facility, claiming to be a young player who had a trial with the club.
He then went on to demand staff handed him a contract, allegedly claiming he could play in midfield.
Unsurprisingly, the youngster was quickly revealed to be fabricating his claims.
He was then escorted off the premises, but not before making rather a scene.
The young man is reported to have been a social media ‘influencer’, who intended to film the entire interaction as part of a prank.

Manchester United Players React To Security Breach
While the majority of United’s squad weren’t on site, they have reportedly been informed of the breach.
Most are said to have found the incident funny, and laughed upon hearing about it.
Fans have reacted similarly, making jokes about the intruder’s identity.
One quipped on social media: “It’s deffo [Liverpool star] Florian Wirtz.”
Another added: “Probably [Jadon] Sancho trying to sneak back in.”
But while there was no harm done and no ill intent, this ‘prank’ does raise questions.
Alarm bells will be ringing over how easily an unauthorised guest gained access to Carrington.
It may have been a light-hearted joke, but the breach could just have easily been more serious.
With United on their best run to date under Ruben Amorim, they will be hoping to avoid distractions.
The Red Devils travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, looking to extend their winning run to four league games.
