Chelsea youngster Dastan Satpaev has entered the Champions League history books by scoring against FC Copenhagen on Wednesday.
The achievement further highlights the Blues’ growing pool of young talent, with Andrey Santos and Estevao also impressing with their performances this week.
Estevao has earned worldwide praise after scoring an excellent goal in Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Barcelona in the Champions League.
The Brazilian overshadowed Barca starlet Lamine Yamal on Tuesday, with Chelsea fans later directing taunting chants at the Spaniard.
Chelsea Teen Makes Champions League History
Dastan Satpaev, who will join Chelsea from Kairat Almaty at the end of the season, achieved a historic feat against Copenhagen.
Scoring in the 81st minute at Parken Stadium, Satpaev became the first Kazakh player to score in the Champions League.
Aged 17 years 106 days, Satpaev has also become the third-youngest goalscorer in Champions League history. Only Ansu Fati (17 years 40 days) and Lamine Yamal (17 years 68 days) have gotten off the mark quicker.
Earlier this month, Satpaev scored his nation’s only goal as Kazakhstan held Belgium to a 1-1 draw in Astana.

He became the youngest goalscorer in Kazakhstan’s history and the youngest player to score in European World Cup qualifiers since 1960.
The Chelsea striker will finish the year with 20 official goals. He scored 14 goals in the Kazakhstan Premier League, four in European competitions, and one each in the Kazakhstan Cup and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
In the 2025 season, Satpaev played 26 league matches for Kairat Almaty, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists.
Satpaev Backed to Break Into Chelsea’s First Team
Chelsea signed Dastan Satpaev in a €4 million deal, including add-ons, making him the most expensive Kazakh player in history. However, since he was below 18 at the time, the Blues could not bring him to the Premier League.
He turns 18 in August and will be eligible to play for the first team. Reports suggest a move to Strasbourg could be on the cards, as the French club may be able to offer him more playing time.

Former Premier League star Andrey Arshavin, however, thinks he could make an immediate impact.
“I don’t see how Satpaev would be any worse than Nicolas Jackson in two years,” said Arshavin.
“Sure, Jackson is fast, but he’s skinny and, in my opinion, not as smart as Satpaev.
“So I think Dastan will have a real chance to break into Chelsea’s first team right away. And how he uses that chance – that’s up to him.”
Chelsea have already appointed a coach to work with Satpaev in Kazakhstan. The club want the 17-year-old to be up to speed when he moves to London next summer.
If he gets a direct shot at playing for Chelsea, the Kazakh striker will have to compete with Liam Delap and Joao Pedro for minutes. Emanuel Emegha, who will join from Strasbourg ahead of the 2026/27 season, also prefers to play centrally.
