Arsenal winger Noni Madueke was booed by Chelsea fans on his return to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, much to the delight of Blues star Cole Palmer.
Cole Palmer Nods In Support of Noni Madueke Boos
Noni Madueke was met with a torrent of boos upon his return to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The England international spent two years at Chelsea after joining from PSV Eindhoven for around £28.5million in 2023 but opted to join Arsenal in a move worth up to £52m last summer.
Madueke, having netted his first Gunners goal in their midweek Champions League win over Bayern Munich, was brought on by Mikel Arteta 57 minutes into the feisty all-London affair.

Replacing Gabriel Martinelli, the 23-year-old was hounded with boos by the home supporters.
Seemingly in an act of support, Chelsea attacking midfielder Cole Palmer turned to the fans and nodded in approval before turning away with a smirk on his face.
Palmer was fit to start against Arsenal after recovering from a groin injury and a fractured toe, however the Manchester City academy graduate failed to make it onto the pitch.
It was his first involvement in a matchday squad in over two months, having last featured in his side’s 2-1 defeat away at Manchester United back in September.
Luckily for Blues fans, their boos didn’t come back to bite them. Madueke was unable to help his side claim all three points, as they were forced to settle for a point after a 1-1 draw.
Trevoh Chalobah gave the hosts an initial lead before Mikel Merino drew the visitors level.
Already an impressive result as is, the point was made even more impressive from Chelsea’s perspective as key midfielder Moises Caicedo was shown a straight red card in the first half.
He will now miss three games through suspension due to his dismissal for serious foul play.
Fixtures Caicedo will miss include Leeds, Bournemouth and Everton.
Enzo Maresca’s side now sit in third place in the Premier League table, six points behind Arsenal, while the Gunners sit five points clear of second-place Manchester City at the summit.

When Will Palmer Make His Chelsea Return?
Many had expected Palmer to be thrown in from the off against the Gunners on Sunday, however Blues fans will have to wait a little longer before seeing their talisman return to the field.
Barring any setbacks, the 23-year-old looks set to return against Leeds on Wednesday night.
Chelsea travel up to Elland Road to face off against the relegation strugglers, and given they are heavily favoured to prevail, it provides a good opportunity to ease Palmer back into the lineup.
A trip to Bournemouth follows for Maresca’s men next Saturday, before they round off the year with fixtures against Atalanta, Everton, Cardiff, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Bournemouth again.
Palmer’s return provides the west Londoners a major boost ahead of the busy festive period, as they look to close the gap on Arsenal and aim to keep their title ambitions intact.
