Leeds are set to hold ‘serious conversations’ over the future of Daniel Farke should they suffer defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday evening.
Daniel Farke Future In Doubt At Leeds
The managerial situation at Leeds has reached its boiling point, with the club set to hold ‘serious conversations’ over the future of Daniel Farke should they lose to Chelsea on Wednesday.
This is according to Sky Sports News reporter Rob Dorsett, who revealed the latest on X.
He posted: “Tonight’s game vs Chelsea could prove pivotal for Daniel Farke’s future at Leeds.
“I’m told bosses at Elland Road are concerned by autumn downturn in results and there will be serious conversations if four straight defeats become five.
“Tweaked tactics and a more spirited second half vs Manchester City give hope.”

Prior to the Whites’ 3-2 defeat by City at the weekend, it had been thought that Farke had one more game to save his job. As Dorsett has referenced though, having been minutes away from claiming a point after being 2-0 down, he looks to have been given one more chance.
Considering their poor form and the Blues’ strong form heading into the tie, all signs point towards Wednesday night’s clash being Farke’s final game at the helm.
Enzo Maresca’s side, currently third in the table, head into the clash off the back of a 1-1 draw against Arsenal and are now unbeaten in seven straight matches across all competitions.
This run includes a mightily impressive 3-0 win over Barcelona in the Champions League.
Leeds, meanwhile, have lost each of their last four and sit in a lowly 18th place in the table.
Defeats by Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Brighton preceded their loss to the Cityzens.
The latest Premier League sack race odds have Farke as the odds-on favourite to go next at a price of 8/15, ahead of Tottenham’s Thomas Frank (4/1) and Liverpool’s Arne Slot (7/1).
Gary O’Neil Tipped To Replace Farke
Former Wolves manager Gary O’Neil has been tipped to replace Farke should he depart.
O’Neil has been out of work since being dismissed from his role at Molineux in December 2024, but several outlets are reporting that he’s ready to make his return to management with Leeds.
The Englishman currently leads as the favourite in the next Leeds manager odds market.
He has previous experience coming out on top in Premier League relegation battles, having kept both Bournemouth and Wolves from being demoted to the Championship in the past.
Additionally, ex-Celtic managers Brendan Rodgers and Ange Postecoglou have been mooted for the soon-to-be vacant role, while Bo Svensson is also among the favoured candidates.
