Thomas Frank is standing firm on the message that he will only sign Tottenham players who are “fully committed” to the project.
Spurs currently sit in 14th, and Frank is the favourite to be the next manager to lose his job in the Premier League sack race.
They’ve picked up just six victories from 17 Premier League matches, but have had to juggle the demands of Champions League football while attempting to improve a squad that finished 17th last campaign.

When asked what type of player Frank is searching for, he replied: “Any player we sign needs to be fully committed to the project. No doubt about that. Very important.
“It’s key on every aspect.
“Character for me, as I’ve said many times, is the most important thing. They need to buy into it so we are aligned.
“It makes it easier for me to say, ‘Hey remember the bit I said about this…’, then it’s a little bit easier to have consequences.”
He said earlier in December: “We will definitely be in the market, no doubt about that.”
Tottenham’s recent transfer windows have been largely underwhelming, and their plummet down the Premier League can be attributed to poor signings.
During the summer, they signed Xavi Simons, who has yet to hit the ground running, while Mohammed Kudus has also seen a drop in form.
Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso have also yet to fully endear themselves to the Spurs faithful.
Who are Tottenham linked with?
Antoine Semenyo was one option, but the Bournemouth winger has turned down the switch to Spurs, with Manchester City favourites for his signature.
If that deal comes off, it may encourage Tottenham to reignite their interest in City’s Savinho after they were knocked back in the summer.
A left winger remains a priority, but Frank will also look to add quality in goal.
They’ve lost patience with Guglielmo Vicario, who has endured one error too many, and two standout goalkeepers in James Trafford and Marc Andre ter Stegen could be available.
Trafford has lost his place to Gianluigi Donnarumma, while ter Stegen is free to leave Barcelona, with Joan Garcia the club’s No1.
Frank will also look for a new striker with the club linked with Porto’s Samu Aghehowa.
