Arsenal Join Race for Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi
The Mirror report that Arsenal have rejoined the race for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi.
They join the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Bayern Munich in holding an interest in the 25-year-old, whose contract at Selhurst Park expires at the end of the 2025-26 season.
This means he will be available on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
That is, of course, if he doesn’t secure a transfer in January. As reported in Tuesday’s transfer roundup, that scenario is a real possibility, with City looking to sign the defender this winter.
It comes amid an injury crisis across Pep Guardiola’s backline. John Stones, Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias are all out for an extended period, while Rayan Ait-Nouri is away at AFCON.
At this stage, it is currently unknown whether Arsenal are willing to challenge City with a January bid. Should Guehi decide to stay, the Gunners are expected to make a move in the summer.
Tottenham Closely Monitoring Brentford’s Kevin Schade
According to Florian Plettenberg, Tottenham are ‘closely monitoring’ Kevin Schade.
He says that it ‘appears likely’ that the 24-year-old will secure a move after this summer’s World Cup, however Brentford are keen on extending his contract beyond 2028.
Many clubs are interested in signing the Germany international alongside Spurs.
Aston Villa, Roma, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund have all been linked in the past.
It is reported that the Bees value the winger at €50m-€60m (£43.4m-£52.1m).
Reports of Tottenham’s interest come amid a turbulent time for the club. Pressure is mounting on Thomas Frank, and he is now among the favourites in the Premier League sack race market.
Oliver Glasner is favoured to replace him in the next Tottenham manager odds market.
Omar Marmoush Plans to Stay at Manchester City
Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush has no plans to depart the Etihad in January.
The Egyptian is currently away at AFCON alongside Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah, and given his lack of gametime under Guardiola this term, he has been linked with a move away.
We reported in Monday’s transfer roundup that Aston Villa are ready to battle Spurs to sign the 26-year-old this winter, however Florian Plettenberg says the forward will be staying put.
He notes that while Marmoush intends to stay to fight for his place in the Cityzens’ squad, there are numerous enquiries on the table from top clubs throughout Europe.
Plettenberg has also confirmed that no talks have been held with Tottenham over a move.
City signed Marmoush for £63m from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt last January.
Spurs Agree Personal Terms With Santos Starlet Souza
Fabrizio Romano reports that Tottenham have agreed personal terms with Souza.
The north Londoners had an £8m bid rejected for the young Santos left-back earlier this week, and they have since followed up with a reported €15m (£13m) offer.
Romano states that negotiations are underway between Spurs and the Brazilian side.
Souza’s current contract includes a release clause worth €60m (£52.2m) for Brazilian teams and a release clause worth €100m (£87.1m) for overseas clubs.
AC Milan, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, Barcelona, Manchester United and Bayern Munich have all been credited with interest in the 19-year-old in the past.
Manchester United Interested in Tarik Muharemovic
Manchester United are interested in Sassuolo central defender Tarik Muharemovic.
That’s according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Inter are also interested, while the Bosnian has attracted attention from Bologna, Aston Villa and Bournemouth, too.
Muharemovic joined Sassuolo from Juventus in a deal worth €3m (£2.6m) in the summer.
His next move is expected to net around €30m (£26m), with Juve set to earn 50% of the fee.
Sassuolo are keen to wait until the summer before deciding whether to let him go or not.
