Tuesday Transfer Rumours Roundup

Manchester United Lining Up Ruben Neves Move

Al Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves is being lined up for a move to Manchester United.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers star could become their first signing of the January transfer window, adding to soon-to-be appointed Michael Carrick’s options in midfield.

Carrick is among the favourites in the next Manchester United manager odds market.

Old Trafford chiefs have reportedly reached an agreement in principle to appoint Carrick and his coaching staff on a deal until the end of the season, subject to finalising contract details.

He is expected to be in the dugout for Saturday’s Manchester derby against City.

Meanwhile, The Guardian claim Al Hilal would be willing to accept an offer worth around £20m for Neves, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

Manchester City ‘Make Contact’ For Elliot Anderson

Heading over to the blue side of Manchester, Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens have ‘made contact’ with Nottingham Forest regarding a deal for in-demand midfielder Elliot Anderson.

That’s according to TEAMtalk, who report that the Cityzens are keen to make a move for the England international in the summer, with Guardiola seeing him as a ‘good fit’ for his system.

It is expected that Anderson will fetch a fee in the region of £80m for the Reds.

The 23-year-old has also been on the radar of Manchester United, while Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle and Bayern have all been linked with moves in recent months, too.

Ex-Chelsea Star N’Golo Kante in Talks with Fenerbahce

French outlet L’Equipe report that N’Golo Kante is in talks to join Fenerbahce.

The 34-year-old’s contract is due to expire at the end of the campaign, and the Turkish Super Cup champions are one of several top European sides looking to take advantage.

Talks between Kante and Al-Ittihad over a new contract have reportedly stalled, and if both parties are unable to reach an agreement, he could be sold during the January transfer window.

Fener have already been active in the transfer market this winter, having sealed the high-profile signing of former Arsenal star Matteo Guendouzi from Lazio in a move worth €28m (£24.25m).

Fenerbahce also want Ademola Lookman, who is being linked with a big-money move to the Turkish capital off the back of his impressive performances for Nigeria at AFCON.

Tottenham and Newcastle Join Tarik Muharemovic Race

Premier League duo Tottenham and Newcastle have joined the race for Tarik Muharemovic.

As reported in Friday’s transfer roundup, Manchester United are interested in the Sassuolo defender, but CaughtOffside claim that Spurs and the Magpies are monitoring his progress, too.

They add that Inter and Juventus are also keeping the door open, while Bundesliga side RB Leipzig remain keen and have prepared a bid worth €25m (£21.65m) plus bonuses.

The Bosnian joined Sassuolo from Juve in a deal worth €3m (£2.6m) last summer.

Sassuolo want to wait until the summer before deciding whether to let him depart or not.

Aston Villa’s Donyell Malen Advancing on Roma Move

Aston Villa forward Donyell Malen is advancing on a move to Roma, according to Sky Italia.

The Serie A side had been targeting moves for Atletico’s Giacomo Raspadori and Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, but following complications, they have now moved on to Malen.

It is reported that they have reached an agreement with Villa over his transfer, with the Dutchman set to join on an initial loan this January with an option to buy for €28.5m (£24.6m).

Alongside Malen, Roma are set to sign highly rated Marseille striker Robinio Vaz.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the 18-year-old Frenchman will join the Giallorossi in a deal worth €25m (£21.65m) after terms over his transfer were agreed early on Tuesday morning.
