Erling Haaland’s odds of winning the Premier League Golden Boot have drifted.
Haaland’s top-flight scoring drought stretched to three matches after Manchester City were pegged back to draw 2-2 with Tottenham on Sunday night.
The Norwegian striker still leads the charts, but bookmakers believe the race to become top scorer is actually more open than punters might think.
Premier League Top Scorer Odds
The imperious Haaland notched an assist at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, teeing up Rayan Cherki for the opening goal of the game, before fading despite Spurs’ nervousness.
Delve a little deeper into the numbers, and there is certainly cause to be alarmed.
Indeed, Haaland has now gone eight Premier League games without a non-penalty goal, allowing Brentford’s Igor Thiago to close the gap.
The Golden Boot frontrunner has netted 20 times this season, leaving a four-goal gap to Thiago.
Antoine Semenyo is hot on Thiago’s heels with 12 goals, and has enjoyed an impressive start to life under Pep Guardiola, while Hugo Ekitike took his tally to 10 after his brace against Newcastle.
Unsurprisingly, bookmakers still believe Haaland is the overwhelming favourite – and have priced him as such. But his recent barren streak has given punters food for thought.
This comes despite AI tipping him to be the Golden Boot winner all the way back in August.

Erling Haaland Goes Off The Boil
Haaland was his usual lethal self in the first half of the 2025/26 campaign, scoring 19 goals and recording four assists before Christmas.
But he has since gone off the boil, if judged against his own superhuman standards.
Since the turn of the year, he has netted just once – against Brighton & Hove Albion in a 1-1 draw – and simply hasn’t been able to dominate defenders, like he does at his best.
While he is still on course for a third top-scorer gong in his fourth season since joining City from Borussia Dortmund, questions have been asked of his blip in form.
Last month, Haaland didn’t register a shot in a 2-0 Carabao Cup victory against Newcastle – the first time he was kept quiet to that extent in over a year.
Mohamed Salah dropping off the radar has certainly aided his bid, and Thiago, despite his heroics for Brentford, is unlikely to usurp Haaland before May.
That leaves the path clear for the City hitman, and those who have money riding on him, but Pep Guardiola will be scratching his head at his stark contrast in performances nonetheless.
