CopyBet has announced its biggest-ever series of racing sponsorships in a new partnership with The Jockey Club.

The betting platform is sponsoring seven meetings across five UK racecourses through February and March.

The deal was launched at Kempton Park on Monday (February 2) as the CopyBet Afternoon Jump Racing got underway.

Carlisle, Exeter, Haydock and Huntingdon will also benefit from hosting some of the 41 races covered by the collaboration.

Racing Sponsorships Threatened

It is welcome news for horse racing at a time when some of the biggest names in sports betting are reviewing the value of sponsorship deals ahead of the gambling tax rises announced in the autumn Budget.

Remote Gaming Duty
Chancellor Rachel Reeves

Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced that Remote Gaming Duty will increase from 21% to 40% from April 1.

This doesn’t affect horse racing directly but will have a huge impact on the wider business concerns of the UK’s most popular bookmakers.

The biggest casualty so far this year has been the Cheltenham Festival.

Coral is ending its 74-year sponsorship of the Cheltenham Festival, blaming the rise in betting tax.

William Hill owner Evoke has confirmed there will be shop closures as it looks to counter the financial drain from the new tax levies.

CopyBet’s Commitment To Horse Racing

The new sponsorship deal kicked off at Kempton Park with today’s CopyBet Afternoon Jump Racing.

This is followed by two race meetings at Exeter on Sunday, February 8 and Friday, February 20.

Huntingdon is up next on Sunday, March 1, then the action moves to Haydock on Thursday, March 5.

The penultimate meeting is at Carlisle on Sunday, March 8 with the sponsorships concluding with a return to Huntingdon on Wednesday, March 11.

Daniel Glavin, Betting Partnerships Manager, The Jockey Club

“This is an exciting year for British racing.

“We are thankful for CopyBet’s ongoing support, as demonstrated through this new series of sponsorships.

“From Kempton in February, through to Huntingdon in March, we are excited to see CopyBet at key race meetings throughout the start of 2026.”

CopyBet And QPR

CopyBet and QPR

As well as having a welcome presence in horse racing, the betting platform has a prominent football partnership.

CopyBet is the front of shirt sponsor for Championship club Queens Park Rangers.

The partnership with QPR was first established in 2022 when CopyBet became the club’s official betting partner.

That collaboration was extended with a new partnership in April 2024 which saw the platform become QPR’s front of shirt sponsor.

The two-year deal runs until the end of the 2025-26 season.
