This event has one of the biggest payouts of the season – so just what is the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship prize money and how much can the winner top up their bank account with?

The tournament has a staggering $9m purse – while there will also be a massive 9,000 Race To Dubai ranking points up for grabs.

Plus, for the European players on show there are 2,000 Ryder Cup points to win.

Of the $9m purse, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship winner will win $1,530,000

While the runner-up will win $990,000 and the third $567,000.

Who Is Favourite To Win The 2024 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship?

According to the best golf betting sites in the UK Rory McIlroy is one of the big fancies to win the 2024 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and is closely followed in the market by fellow European players Tyrrell Hatton, who won in 2021 and Tommy Fleetwood, who was the champion in 2017 and 2018.

The 2023 tournament was won by France’s Victor Perez after posting a score of -18 – beating Min Woo Lee and Sebastian Söderberg by a stroke.

Since this event was first played in 2006, McIlroy is yet to win – but has finished runner-up four times (2011, 2012, 2015 ad 2014).

McIlroy has also recently said that he feels that Donald Trump getting back in the White House will help try and resolve the PGA Tour and LIV issues.
