Adrian Lewis has taken a hilarious dig at Phil Taylor, as the Power is set to take a lead punditry role during Lewis’ comeback to the sport in May.

Adrian Lewis Gives Hilarious Dig At Phil Taylor Ahead Of Comeback

Adrian Lewis will return to the sport of darts in May 2025, as he prepares to compete at the MODUS Super Series and return to the oche for the first time in almost two years.

Lewis decided to take an extended break from the sport after losing his Tour Card and has been bombarded with offers ever since.

Being managed by MODUS means a return at the Super Series makes the most sense and his performances should give a rough idea over his probability of returning to the PDC.

The darts star spoke about returning to the oche in May and revealed that he is now ready to give everything after a long absence.

Lewis said: “Jason Thame asked me going back last year I think it was and I wasn’t quite ready. Now I’m getting there, hopefully setting a date I think it’s around May time so looking forward to it. I’m enjoying throwing again in patches, only when I’m playing well.

“I think they only want me on there for a bit of friction I think. Hopefully I’ll ruffle a few feathers and have a laugh. I think I might wear one of those Peter Wright wigs when I’m playing.”

He then went on to discuss the possibility of Phil Taylor acting as a pundit at the MODUS Super Series and joked about the Power being a distraction.

He said: “When I heard he was doing the punditry, I thought put me off for a couple more years until he retires fully. I’m used to him slagging me off anyway when I’m playing darts so you know nothing will change there.”
