Alexander Hernandez has denied being involved in any wrongdoing ahead of his scheduled fight with Michael Johnson at UFC 324, which was cancelled at the last minute due to betting irregularities.
The 33-year-old veteran has spoken up a week after the event to declare: “I understand the FBI is doing their job.”
“I understand the UFC is doing their job.
“I am trying to get back to doing my job as quickly as possible.”
There has been no official statement confirming that the FBI are looking into that specific bout.
Dana White, UFC president and CEO, did say in his post-UFC 324 review that “the FBI is already deep into this stuff anyway.
“I’m sure this one will be next.”
Statement From Alexander Hernandez
Hernandez took to his Instagram account @thegreat155 to state his innocence in any wrongdoing.
“I would never dishonor myself or this sport by not giving my absolute all in competition.
“I have been thru a great deal in my career to be in the auspicious position I am in.

“I do not take that lightly. I do not take my work or the work of others lightly.
“It is extraordinarily disheartening after a complete camp and weigh cut to have a fight forfeited.
“Certainly from matters outside of my control.
“I understand the FBI is doing their job, I understand the UFC is doing their job, I am trying to get back to doing my job as quickly as possible.”
He expressed his hope that any investigation “is resolved with expedience.
“I am in the prime of my career. I do not want my time stolen.”
Suspicious Betting Ahead Of Hernandez vs Johnson
White confirmed that the Hernandez vs Johnson clash was cancelled as a precautionary measure.
The UFC acted after gaming integrity service, Integrity Compliance 360 (IC360), had flagged some suspicious betting activity.

It bore similarities to a previous warning issued around an Isaac Dulgarian bout at UFC Vegas 110 in November.
That featherweight clash with Yaddier del Valle is under investigation by the FBI after Dulgarian’s shock first-round loss.
White acted swiftly to avoid a repeat this time around.
Once a potential problem was raised, Hernandez vs Johnson was pulled from the evening’s schedule.
White’s immediate reaction was: “I’m not doing that s*** again.”
Investigation Into Isaac Dulgarian
Isaac Dulgarian entered UFC Vegas 110 in November 2025 as a clear betting favourite.
His featherweight bout against Yadier del Valle should have presented little trouble.
Sportsbooks had Del Valle positioned as a sizeable underdog in the days leading up to the fight.
On the day of the event, betting markets began to shift rapidly.
Regulators and sportsbooks noticed a sudden spike in money backing Del Valle, triggering concerns over the nature and timing of the wagers.

IC360 flagged the movement and raised the issue directly with the UFC.
White spoke with Dulgarian’s camp.
After receiving assurances that there was nothing untoward happening, he let the bout go ahead.
Dulgarian suffered a shock, quick first-round defeat, submitting via rear-naked choke.
Dulgarian and his coach Marc Montoya deny any suggestion of foul play.
White Hails Zuffa Boxing 2
White missed the weekend’s UFC 325 as he was overseeing Zuffa Boxing’s second event.
It proved to be a knockout success, the standout being ‘Hot Rod’ Radivoje Kalajdzic taking down favourite Oleksandr Gvozdyk.
Kalajdzic hit the canvas twice in the first and fourth rounds.
With grit and determination he recovered to drop Gvozdyk in the seventh for the win.
White delivered an upbeat review.
“It was a great card with great fights.
“Hot Rod was literally getting beat the whole fight and to win the way that he did was incredible.
“It was a great fight.”
Along with UFC, Zuffa Boxing has entered a multi-year deal with Polymarket to become its exclusive prediction markets partner.
White highlighted the marked progress of a promotion in its infancy.
“The production will only get better.
“This is a whole new team that we’re building here.
“It’s just going to get better every time we do it.”
