The latest Amadou Onana and Ezri Konsa injury update has confirmed that both players will miss Aston Villa’s match against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Boss Unai Emery was speaking to the media on Friday when he explained that the duo are both ruled out of the vital Premier League clash.
It’s bad timing for the Villa manager who hasn’t overseen a victory in all competitions since October 22. Emery has tasted defeat in his last four which includes the 2-0 loss to Liverpool last time out.
News of the pair’s absence will only dampen the mood around Villa Park. As it stands, the West Midlanders are in 9th position.

Amadou Onana And Ezri Konsa Injury Latest
Summer-signing Amadou Onana suffered a foot problem whilst away with Belgium which has ruled him out against Crystal Palace. Ezri Konsa’s injury was also picked up whilst on international duty.
Konsa had to be substituted at half-time during England’s 3-0 victory over Greece with a hip complaint. Both players are expected to return for the UEFA Champions League clash against Juventus on Wednesday.
“They have small injuries, both. They have to rest, recover and each day is very important. For tomorrow they are not available, maybe they could come back the next match but we have to focus on the players we have now,” Emery said.
Since joining from Everton for £50 million, Onana has been one of Villa’s standout performers this season. The 6 ft 5 in defensive midfielder has scored three goals in all competitions.
More impressively, the 23-year-old has a tackle success rate of 70% and has won 54 duels in England’s elite in 2024/25.
Konsa has proven to be one of the finest defenders Villa has had in recent years since joining from Brentford in 2019. The 27-year-old has scored a total of eight goals for the club in 202 appearances.
