Rumours of an Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul super-fight are gathering momentum as Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) CEO Nakisa Bidarian reveals that talks are active.

The co-founder of MVP alongside ‘The Problem Child’ has revealed that there are active discussions for an AJ vs Jake Paul fight.

Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul Being ‘Actively’ Discussed

Did your 2025 boxing bingo card include an Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul super-fight? Well, it might well become a reality.

It seems that talks between Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, and MVP, Paul’s outfit, are ongoing over a potential fight later this year or early next year.

There have been rumours of an AJ vs Jake Paul fight for a few weeks now, with Matchroom Boxing chairman Hearn speaking about it on more than one occasion.

If the fight does happen, all boxing betting sites will list ‘AJ’ as a resounding pre-fight favourite to beat ‘The Problem Child’ via knockout.

Now it seems that the fight isn’t just being rumoured, rather it is being actively discussed. This comes after MVP co-founder and CEO Nakisa Bidarian revealed in a recent interview with Sky Sports that there is actual substance to these rumours.

Whether or not Anthony Joshua’s next fight is against the American former YouTuber remains to be seen. He does of course have other options such as a Tyson Fury bout or Daniel Dubois rematch amongst others.

However, it seems there is a genuine possibility of Jake Paul’s next fight being against the former two-time world heavyweight champion and British boxing icon. What a crazy sport boxing can be at times!

Nakisa Bidarian: ‘We’re Actively Discussing It’

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Nakisa Bidarian revealed that there are active talks ongoing between Team Paul and Team Joshua:

“The fight can absolutely happen. Two of [Joshua’s] losses came against Usyk. Usyk weighed 220lbs for those fights.

“Jake is not Usyk, but Jake fought [Mike] Tyson at 228lbs. So size wise we can get comfortable. We’re actively discussing it,” revealed the co-founder and CEO of MVP.

Now, all that’s left to do is to officially agree terms and sign the fight. Whether it be late 2025 or early next year, an AJ vs Jake Paul super-fight seems a real possibility.

Will AJ vs Jake Paul Actually Happen?

With discussions reportedly ongoing between Team Joshua and Team Paul, it seems there is a genuine possibility that the Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul super-fight could actually happen.

This comes after Eddie Hearn revealed Joshua vs Paul discussions were ongoing earlier in the week at the Lewis Crocker vs Paddy Donovan rematch press conference in Belfast.

A few years ago, if someone had have mentioned the possibility of this fight, everyone would have laughed. Now, it seems there is real momentum and a genuine possibility that the fight could come to fruition.

That being said, there is still a long way to go between now and the fight actually getting made. Some fans believe this is all pure hype and a publicity stunt, with others actually believing it could happen.

Whatever happens, 99% of people will be expecting ‘AJ’, the former two-time world heavyweight champion, to deal with ‘The Problem Child’ with ease.

A few years ago Paul likely wouldn’t have lasted a round with Joshua. However, now he is entering the later stages of his career and has suffered a recent knockout defeat, some people feel that Joshua’s best days are well gone.

Even at that, an over-the-hill Anthony Joshua will have far too much for a blown-up heavyweight version of Jake Paul. Surely?
