The latest Arsenal injury news is that Gabriel is a ‘doubt’ for West Ham’s visit on Saturday, Mikel Arteta has revealed.

Arsenal Injury News: Mikel Arteta Will ‘Wait And See’ With Gabriel’s Fitness

The Brazilian defender experienced some discomfort after starring in Arsenal’s win over Sporting Lisbon.

Gabriel scored the Gunners’ third goal in their 5-1 away win in the Champions League on Tuesday.

However, the centre-back had to be replaced late on after picking up a knock and was replaced by Jakob Kiwior.

Arteta revealed after the game that Gabriel experienced ‘discomfort’ before his substitution and is now a doubt to play football on Saturday.

When asked about Gabriel’s fitness, the Arsenal boss said: “We will wait and see.”

More Defensive Injury Woes For Arsenal

Arteta is already without Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu, who both have knee injuries and remain sidelined.

Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafior could fill in at centre-back for Gabriel if he fails to overcome his latest knock.

When asked about any further injury news, the Arsenal boss added: “Not a lot because we have another training session. We have to see how the boys are today.

“A few of them weren’t able to train yesterday but hopefully they will be able to today.”

A win for Arsenal over London rivals West Ham will see them close the gap to Liverpool to six points.

The Gunners’ title rivals Liverpool and Man City face each other in a huge clash on Sunday.
