Arsenal have been boosted with a positive update around Bukayo Saka, as the Gunners star could return from injury in time to face Real Madrid.
Bukayo Saka Injury Update
The English international has been out of action since December 2024, as a hamstring issue has kept Saka out for 12 consecutive Premier League matches.
During a victory over Crystal Palace on December 21st 2024, the Arsenal star was forced off with a hamstring injury and had to undergo surgery.
It has now been three months since he last stepped foot on the pitch for the Gunners and is now nearing a return as players head off on international duty.
Obviously, the Gunners talisman was not selected in Thomas Tuchel’s opening England squad meaning he has more time to continue his recovery.
Mikel Arteta has been dealt a plethora of injuries in his attacking roster, with Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli all suffering long-term knocks.
Martinelli has recently returned to the pitch and has been a welcomed return, performing well in Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Chelsea.
When Will Bukayo Saka Return?
A recent report has revealed that Arsenal could be boosted by the full return of Bukayo Saka in their huge Champions League quarter final clash against Real Madrid.
The 23-year-old is set to return in the opening leg at the Emirates on April 8th and should be available from the bench, or if all goes well Saka could star against Los Blancos.
The England international could return to the matchday squad sooner, as the winger is reportedly eyeing up a place on the bench against Fulham on April 1st.
This is not a 100% guarantee and does rely on Saka having a smooth recovery over the next few weeks, meaning this international break could be huge for Arsenal.
Prior to his injury, Saka was on hot form for the Gunners and contributed to 15 goals in the Premier League, scoring five and assisting 10.
