Brighton Vs Nottingham Forest Preview, Prediction, Team News And Predicted Lineups For FA Cup Quarter-final

Here’s our Brighton Vs Nottingham Forest preview, prediction, team news and predicted lineups ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final at the Amex Stadium.
Brighton Vs Nottingham Forest Preview
Brighton overcame Newcastle in the last 16 to deny the Magpies the chance of an EFL Cup and FA Cup double.
Red cards for both Anthony Gordon and Tariq Lamptey meant both sides were a man down by the end of the game, with Danny Welbeck finding the winner for the Seagulls in extra time.
Searching for a first-ever major trophy, Brighton have made it through two FA Cup quarter-finals in recent years.
In both 2019 and 2023, they were stopped at the semi-final stage.
Only once have Brighton made the final, losing to Manchester United in 1983.
The international break was badly timed for Fabian Hurzeler’s men, who had won six on the bounce before drawing 2-2 with Manchester City.
Up against them at the weekend are a Nottingham Forest side who handed Brighton a shocking 7-0 hammering in February.
Since then, it’s been a mixed bag of results for the Tricky Trees, but they are still doing enough to occupy the Champions League places.
Having not made it past the last eight of this competition since 1991, Forest will be hoping to break their quarter-final hoodoo.

Brighton Vs Nottingham Forest Team News
Tariq Lamptey may have served his recent suspension, but the right-back is out after injuring his ankle in training.
Also definitely out are Igor Julio (hamstring), Jason Steele (shoulder), James Milner (thigh) and Ferdi Kadioglu (foot).
There are doubts over Lewis Dunk (abdominal), Matt O’Riley (knee), Solly March (unspecified) and Joel Veltman (ankle), but Hurzeler has said he is hopeful of having some or all of this quartet available,
Forest waited with baited breath on the fitness of star man Chris Wood when he was taken off during New Zealand’s recent World Cup qualifier.
But after initially looking like he would be fit, manager Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed Wood is now out of Saturday’s game.
Backup keeper Carlos Miguel is the only other definite absentee, with the Brazilian still nursing a hamstring issue.

Brighton Vs Nottingham Forest Prediction
Both sides have scored and conceded plenty of goals this season, se we fully expect this to be a great watch for the neutral.
There’s little to split the two on paper, so a draw after 90 minutes feels a strong possibility.
Should the match go to penalties, Forest have already won two shootouts this season, and have a good chance of making it three on their way to Wembley.
At the time of writing, the best UK football betting sites, Brighton are 22/25 favourites, while Forest are at 7/2.
Prediction: Brighton 2-2 Nottingham Forest (Forest to win on penalties)
