Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez Next Fight: Terence Crawford Super-Fight At Allegiant Stadium In Las Vegas

Boxing fans are excited to see the great Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez back in action, as his next fight has been officially confirmed.

The reigning WBC, WBA-Super and WBO World Super-Middleweight Champion is a pound-for-pound boxing great, and will look to continue his reign as the undisputed king of the super-middleweight division in his next bout.

The 35-year-old faces Terence Crawford in his next fight which is quite simply the biggest fight of 2025. Period.

For the second time in as many fights, His Excellency Turki Alalshikh and ‘Canelo’ are working together, with UFC President Dana White also behind the Canelo vs Crawford super-fight for the first time.

Canelo’s record stands at an impressive 63-2-2 as of today, with the chance of securing his 4oth knockout in his next fight against the undefeated Crawford. That will be a tough task though, with ‘Bud’ being a four-weight and two-division undisputed king.

That being said, Crawford is stepping up from 154-pounds to 168-pounds for this fight. Two fights ago Crawford was still a welterweight, so the jump to super-middleweight has come fairly quickly for the 41-0 American.

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez next fight against ‘Bud’ could prove to be the toughest test of his career. Despite having the size advantage having campaigned at 168-pounds for several years and being the favourite with the best boxing betting sites, there is an argument that Terence Crawford is the all-round better fight.

Time will tell how Canelo’s next fight plays out against the great Crawford. One this is for sure, the great Mexican will have to be at his very best to beat his fellow pound-for-pound superstar.

Could Canelo’s Next Fight After Crawford Be Against David Benavidez?

Should Canelo’s next fight result in a victory, boxing fans will then be discussing his next steps after that rather quickly. The fight that seems most likely for ‘Canelo’ after this Terence Crawford clash is an all-Mexican showdown with David Benavidez.

That would depend on whether Benavidez moves back down to super-middleweight, having fought his last contest up at light-heavyweight. The fight has been talked about for a while now, with some fans even thinking ‘Canelo’ is ducking Benavidez.

Another fight for the great ‘Canelo’, who boasts an incredible $275m net worth fortune, could be a showdown with none other than ‘The Problem Child’ himself – Jake Paul.

Although this fight seems fairly ridiculous, there were several reports that the contest was almost agreed for this year. A showdown between Paul and ‘Canelo’ would be sure to break the internet and all PPV records in boxing.

The Dmitry Bivol rematch is another fight Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez will want, given that Bivol defeated the great Mexican in their 2022 showdown. Again, this seems unlikely with Bivol looking at a trilogy with Artur Beterbiev, or perhaps even a move up to cruiserweight himself.

Although it is unknown the exact next move of the 34-year-old after the Terence Crawford super-fight on September 13th, the great Mexican p4p star certainly has an abundance of options.

Time will tell what happens regarding the Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez next fight after the Crawford clash at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on September 13th.
