WATCH: Casemiro Stunner Puts Manchester United In Front Vs Leicester In Carabao Cup
Watch as Casemiro nets a stunning goal from distance to Manchester United in front against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup fourth round on Wednesday evening.
Manchester United took the lead against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup last-16 in stunning fashion on Wednesday evening, with Casemiro striking a long-range screamer to put the Red Devils in front.
The Brazilian’s opener came just 15 minutes into the tie at Old Trafford, with Ruud van Nistelrooy taking charge of the squad for the first time following Erik ten Hag‘s sacking on Monday morning.
Van Nistelrooy has been appointed in an interim capacity, and fielded the likes of Altay Bayindir, Victor Lindelof, Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Joshua Zirkzee in his maiden game as Red Devils boss.
While Van Nistelrooy is expected to remain in charge for this weekend’s Premier League clash against Chelsea, United are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Ruben Amorim from Sporting to become their permanent manager.

Casemiro’s goal is his second of the season, and his second in as many games, as he netted his side’s sole goal in the 2-1 defeat to West Ham last weekend – Ten Hag’s final game in charge at the club.
But not only that, following goals for Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes, as well as two goals for Leicester, Casemiro netted his second goal of the evening – taking his tally for the campaign to three, while netting United’s fourth on the night to hand them a 4-2 lead heading into the break.
The Red Devils are well on their way to the quarter-finals thanks to the 32-year-old’s efforts, and they’ll find out their opponents for the next round following the completion of tonight’s fixtures.
