Champions League Best Bets

The Champions League returns for Matchday 4 with nine fixtures on Tuesday evening, and we’ve selected our best bets for each encounter ahead of the action.

Napoli vs Frankfurt and Slavia Prague vs Arsenal kick off the action at 17:45.

Following at 20:00, standout fixtures include Atletico Madrid vs Union Saint-Gilloise, PSG vs Bayern Munich, Tottenham vs Copenhagen and Liverpool vs Real Madrid.

Arne Slot’s Reds ended a five-game domestic losing streak on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa, and the Dutchman will be hoping to build on that with another positive result here.

Off the back of their poor spell, pressure has started to mount on Slot, with ex-Reds boss Jurgen Klopp becoming favoured in the next Liverpool manager betting odds market as a result.

A further nine Champions League matches follow on Wednesday to round off MD4.

Read on as we unveil our best bets for Tuesday’s nine Champions League fixtures.

Champions League Best Bets on Tuesday

Napoli vs Eintracht Frankfurt Betting Tip (17:45 KO)

First off, we’re backing reigning Serie A champions Napoli to prevail in their home fixture against Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, with over 2.5 goals being scored in the match.

Both sides sit level on three points after three matches, but given the hosts’ excellent home record this term, we believe that they are clear favourites to come out on top in this one.

They remain unbeaten at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona after six matches.

This includes victories over Inter, Genoa, Sporting, Pisa and Cagliari.

We’re also backing three or more goals to be scored, as Frankfurt are notorious for playing out high-scoring affairs. 11 of their 14 competitive games this term have gone over 2.5 goals. This includes each of their opening three Champions League league phase matches.

Best Bet: Napoli to Win and Over 2.5 Goals @ 23/20

Slavia Prague vs Arsenal Betting Tip (17:45 KO)

Premier League leaders Arsenal travel to the capital of the Czech Republic to take on Slavia Prague in Tuesday’s second early kick-off, and we’re backing Leandro Trossard to find the net.

The Belgian has started in each of his side’s last six English top-flight matches, including last time out against Burnley, where he provided an assist for Declan Rice in the 2-0 triumph.

Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard

With Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke all out, along with Viktor Gyokeres being a doubt, Trossard has a strong chance of retaining his starting berth.

As he did on MD1 against Athletic Club, we’re backing him to score at any time on MD4.

Best Bet: Leandro Trossard to Score at Any Time @ 21/10

Atletico Madrid vs Union Saint-Gilloise Betting Tip (20:00 KO)

Next up, we’re backing Atletico Madrid to win both halves against Union Saint-Gilloise.

Since their MD1 victory over PSV, USG have suffered back-to-back 4-0 defeats against Newcastle and Inter Milan. Despite this, they have won four consecutive matches domestically.

Atleti, meanwhile, have lost just one of their last nine in all competitions. That came at the hands of Arsenal on MD3, as they were battered 4-0 by the north Londoners at the Emirates.

Since then, they have beaten Real Betis 2-0 and Sevilla 3-0 in LaLiga.

We expect Diego Simeone’s side to build on their strong domestic form with a bounce-back result in Europe and are backing them to comfortably prevail by winning each half.

Best Bet: Atletico Madrid to Win Both Halves @ 13/8

Bodo/Glimt vs Monaco Betting Tip (20:00 KO)

Monaco travel north of the Arctic Circle to take on Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt at the Aspmyra Stadion, where we’re expecting the pair to play out a stalemate.

The pair boast an identical record in the competition thus far with two draws and a loss apiece.

Tuesday’s Ligue 1 visitors opened the league phase with a 4-1 loss to Club Brugge before recording 2-2 and 0-0 draws against Premier League duo Manchester City and Tottenham.

As for Bodo/Glimt, they drew 2-2 with Slavia Prague in their opener, followed by another 2-2 draw against Spurs. They fell to a 3-1 defeat away at Galatasaray last time out.

Both sides also head into this one off the back of defeats in their respective domestic leagues.

With little to separate them in the buildup to this one, we’re backing the spoils to be shared.

Best Bet: Draw @ 27/10

Juventus vs Sporting Betting Tip (20:00 KO)

Our next tip is for Juventus to beat Sporting, with both teams getting on the scoresheet.

Juve are yet to record a victory in the Champions League this term, having lost to Real Madrid and drawn against Villarreal and Borussia Dortmund, but they head into this one in decent form.

After going eight games without a win under Igor Tudor, the club opted to part ways with the Croatian, and since Luciano Spalletti’s appointment, they have won two consecutive games.

Those triumphs came over Udinese and Cremonese in Serie A. Both teams were on the scoresheet in both of those fixtures, which is why we’ve added this pick to our best bet selection.

Additionally, Sporting have already lost to one Italian top-flight side with both teams scoring this term. They suffered a 2-1 defeat away at Napoli on MD2 of the league phase.

Best Bet: Juventus to Win and Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 13/5

Liverpool vs Real Madrid Betting Tip (20:00 KO)

In what many consider to be the standout fixture of the round, Liverpool host Real Madrid.

As previously alluded to, the Reds have been in dreadful form over the past month or so. Across their last eight matches in all competitions, they have recorded two wins and six defeats.

This has seen pressure begin to mount on Slot. In turn, the Dutchman became more favoured in the Premier League sack race betting odds market prior to Vitor Pereira’s dismissal.

Victory over Villa at the weekend has seen his price move out to 16/1 since, however.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot

Los Blancos, meanwhile, have been flawless in Europe this term. They are one of five sides remaining in the Champions League to boast a perfect 100% record with three wins from three.

Xabi Alonso’s side have now won six straight games in all competitions, with this run including continental wins over Kairat Almaty and Juventus, as well as a LaLiga triumph over Barcelona.

Based on recent form, it only makes sense to back the visitors to come out on top at Anfield.

Best Bet: Real Madrid to Win @ 8/5

Olympiacos vs PSV Betting Tip (20:00 KO)

Our best bet pick for Olympiacos vs PSV is to back Ismael Saibari to score at any time.

The Moroccan has enjoyed a stellar start to the season, having totalled 10 goals and one assist in 15 appearances across all competitions, with all 10 of his goals coming in his last eight games.

This includes goals in each of his last two Champions League outings vs Leverkusen and Napoli.

Additionally, Saibari netted a hat-trick in his side’s 3-2 win away at Feyenoord a week and a half ago, and he followed that up by netting a brace in a 5-2 win over Fortuna Sittard on Friday.

Clearly in the form of his life, the 24-year-old is a standout candidate to find the net.

Best Bet: Ismael Saibari to Score at Any Time @ 7/4

PSG vs Bayern Munich Betting Tip (20:00 KO)

It’s first against second at the Parc des Princes at 20:00 as Ligue 1 leaders and reigning Champions League winners PSG host Bundesliga table-toppers Bayern Munich.

Both sides boast a perfect record in the competition thus far, each with a +10 goal difference.

The Parisians have recorded wins over Atalanta (4-0), Barcelona (2-1) and Bayer Leverkusen (7-2), while the Bavarians have overcome Chelsea (3-1), Pafos (5-1) and Club Brugge (4-0).

Other than Bayern boasting a slightly better domestic record this term, there’s very little to separate both sides, which makes it hard to back either team to claim all three points.

This is why we’ve opted for both teams to score at least one goal, with in-form England striker Harry Kane getting on the scoresheet at any time over the course of 90 minutes.

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane

Kane has been nothing short of sensational this term, having recorded 22 goals and three assists in 15 games. This includes five goals in his side’s opening three league phase matches.

A certainty to start, we see the 32-year-old as the prime candidate to net in the French capital.

Best Bet: Both Teams to Score – Yes and Harry Kane to Score at Any Time @ 7/5

Tottenham vs Copenhagen Betting Tip (20:00 KO)

Finally, we’ve gone for Tottenham to win both halves against Copenhagen on home turf.

Spurs haven’t been too convincing in recent weeks with just one win in their last five, however they remain unbeaten in the Champions League, while their Danish counterparts are winless.

After drawing 2-2 with Leverkusen in their opener, Jacob Neestrup’s side have suffered 2-0 and 4-2 defeats by Azerbaijani side Qarabag and Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

Thomas Frank’s north Londoners, on the other hand, have drawn against Bodo/Glimt and Monaco and narrowly overcame LaLiga outfit Villarreal on the opening matchday.

Spurs desperately need a win in order to start building some momentum ahead of their derby clash against Arsenal, and we’re backing them to seal three points in emphatic fashion here.

Best Bet: Tottenham to Win Both Halves @ 2/1
