Chelsea will be looking to get back to winning ways after their 3-1 defeat to Manchester City last time out. Noni Modueke gave the Blues an early lead before the faltering champions hit back.

Josko Gvardiol, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden all scored for the Cityzens to condemn Enzo Maresca to a second successive loss to Pep Guardiola’s side.

The west Londoners will be looking to take advantage of their closest Premier League rivals all tasting defeat on GW24. Bournemouth, Newcastle and City all slipped up to give Maresca’s men the edge.

A victory on Monday will see the Blues climb up to fourth spot. However, they would still be four points adrift of high-flying Nottingham Forest who occupy the last podium position.

In the reverse fixture, Nicolas Jackson (2) and Cole Palmer scored to give Maresca’s side a comfortable 3-0 win at the London Stadium. Something of which they’ll be keen to replicate on home soil.

After an indifferent time at the helm, Graham Potter makes his return to Stamford Bridge for the first time since being dismissed in April 2023.

Potter oversaw just 31 games in west London before his time at the Blues came to a premature conclusion. Now, the West Ham boss will be keen to show supporters what he is all about.

After an extended time away from management, Potter replaced Julen Lopetegui in January and has tasted victory just once in his four games in charge.

Last weekend, the Hammers drew 1-1 with Aston Villa. Emerson Palmieri cancelled out Jacob Ramsey’s opener at Villa Park. In reality, Potter will have felt his side should have left the second city with all three points.

The main concern for Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is who to start in goal. Robert Sanchez’s latest mistake against Manchester City has thrown serious doubts over his participation.

Filip Jorgensen is edging closer to becoming the new No 1 at Stamford Bridge. However, Maresca will likely give Sanchez another go in the last chance saloon.
