Crystal Palace have started their search for a new manager following the announcement that Oliver Glasner will leave the club at the end of the season.
Oliver Glasner Confirms Crystal Palace Exit
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the season.
The Austrian revealed that he is keen to undertake “a new challenge”, while he also confirmed that he had informed club chairman Steve Parish of his decision back in October.
Additionally, Glasner revealed that captain Marc Guehi is close to joining Manchester City.

Speaking on Friday in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s trip to Sunderland, he said:Â “A decision has already been taken, months ago.
“I had a meeting with Steve in October, the international break. We had a very long talk, and I told him I will not sign a new contract. We agreed at the time it was best to keep it between us.
“Itâs the best that we could do that and keep it confidential for three months.
“But now itâs important to have clarity, and we had a very busy schedule so thatâs why we didnât want to talk about it. Steve and I want the best for Crystal Palace.”
Glasner led the Eagles to their first-ever major trophy last term by winning the FA Cup.
They lifted the title at Wembley Stadium after defeating Manchester City 1-0 in last May’s final.
The 51-year-old is currently favoured to replace Thomas Frank, according to the next Tottenham manager odds, as the Dane features as the second favourite in the Premier League sack race.
On Guehi, Glasner said: “My latest understanding is that a deal with Marc is in the final stages. I canât confirm a club, because itâs still not done but itâs in the final stages.
“The result is that Marc doesnât play tomorrow [against Sunderland] for us.”
Crystal Palace Draw Up Manager Shortlist
It is understood that Palace have already started their search for a new manager.
Included on their shortlist is Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna. The Northern Irishman was in contention for the job after Roy Hodgson’s exit in 2024, prior to Glasner’s appointment.
He has enjoyed a successful spell with the Tractor Boys, previously leading them to successive promotions from League One to the Premier League. They are now third in the Championship.
Palace are eyeing Jose Bordalas from Getafe as a potential Glasner replacement too, while Rayo Vallecano boss Inigo Perez is listed as another name who could be considered for the role.
Further developments on the situation are expected in the coming weeks and months.
It might seem all doom and gloom for Eagles fans, but there is some good news coming out of Selhurst Park. This is as Angers striker Sidiki Cherif’s transfer to Palace is close to being finalised.
