UFC President Dana White has revealed further plans for next year’s blockbuster UFC White House card on the South Lawn.
White has revealed that he and President Donald Trump have worked on detailed plans as to what the UFC White House card will look like from a fans perspective.
Dana White Reveals Further UFC White House Plans
A little over a month ago at the beginning of August, UFC President Dana White confirmed he would host the inaugural UFC White House card to celebrate 250 years of American independence.
Now, it seems the card is actually beginning to take shape. Despite no fights nor an official date being confirmed, White has revealed that plans are coming along nicely for next July’s ground-breaking UFC event.
In a recent interview during Canelo vs Crawford fight week in Las Vegas, White revealed further plans on what the UFC White House cared will actually look like come fight night.
“We’re building this arch… and the lighting grid will go above the octagon. So when we shoot this fight, this whole backdrop will be the White House. And when then the cameras move over, it’s all the Washington Monument,” revealed the UFC President.
For now, Conor McGregor remains the front-runner with UFC betting sites to headline UFC White House. However, White will undoubtedly need a back-up main event due to McGregor’s controversial past and current physical state having not fought in over four years.
That being said, White is expressed his excitement at the UFC White House card, which seems to be taking shape. The fight card itself will take place at the White House, with the octagon located on the South Lawn.
US President Donald Trump will be at octagon-side, as will White himself and a whole host of celebrities. White’s recent interview detailing what the card will actually look like has fans even more excited for next July’s blockbuster UFC White House card.

Who Will Headline UFC White House Card?
It remains to be seen who will actually headline next year’s blockbuster UFC White House card in July.
A whole host of big names and elite fighters have already expressed their desire at fighting on the UFC White House card. However, there have been no official fights confirmed as of today.
Dana White recently dropped a huge Conor McGregor fight announcement, after the Irishman has re-entered the testing pool and has expressed his desire to headline UFC White House on the South Lawn.
However, given the fact McGregor hasn’t fought in over four years and has been involved in his fair share of controversies of late, White may need to rely on someone else for his main event.
The likes of Jon Jones has been mentioned as a potential main event combatant, perhaps against Tom Aspinall for the UFC Heavyweight Title.
However, White has dismissed these rumours as he feels he can’t rely on ‘Bones’ following the Jones vs Aspinall fall-out earlier this year.
That being said, Jones is the greatest MMA fighter of all time and remains a huge draw. If he is to return to action, a main event slot at the White House would certainly be fitting.
Furthermore, a showdown between Jones and Aspinall would be a true mega-fight. Time will tell who actually features on next summer’s UFC White House card on the South Lawn in Washington DC.
