Danny Dyer claims he is “more in love with Jarrod than Dani is” – despite being “replaced” by the West Ham and England star in his daughter’s life.
The former EastEnders actor and lifelong Hammers supporter has fully embraced his daughter Dani Dyer’s relationship with Jarrod Bowen.
The couple, who got together in 2021, have since welcomed twin daughters and are set to tie the knot this summer – and it seems Danny is just as smitten with Bowen as his daughter is!

In an interview with Sky Sports, Dyer was asked to name his favourite West Ham player.
Without hesitation, he chose Bowen, stating, “It’s got to be Jarrod Bowen, hasn’t it! The father of my grandchildren. Also, he scored the winning goal, didn’t he, in the European final.”
Dyer then quipped about the challenges of watching his daughter settle down, admitting, “It’s nice to have a boyfriend you love, because most of them you hate!
It’s always tricky when your daughter brings a man home and you get replaced for a little while. But I think I’m more in love with Jarrod than Dani is!”

Bowen has become an undeniable fan favourite for West Ham and was handed the captain’s armband ahead of the 2024/25 season.
He has been a key player for the Hammers, contributing eight goals and four assists as the club fights to climb the Premier League table with 11 matches remaining.
