With the latest edition of EA FC almost here, this year’s player ratings have been released, so we’re taking a look at some of the game’s top-rated stars.
One of the biggest annual events in the football calendar, the release of the latest EA FC (formerly FIFA) always comes with a great deal of excitement and anticipation.
Each game cycle, fans and players wait eagerly to see which players receive the best in-game stats.
For many years, the honour of being the best player in the game was often shared by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
But with the two GOAT candidates both winding down their careers, their ratings in-game have also diminished.
As a result, it’s now a hotly contested fight to be the best player on EA FC.
Who Is The Highest Rated Player In EA FC 26?
In last year’s game, the honour of being the highest-rated male player was shared by Manchester City duo, Ballon d’Or-winning midfielder Rodri and talismanic striker Erling Haaland, alongside World Cup-winning French superstar Kylian Mbappe.
All three players were 91-rated in FC 25, the same overall rating given to the highest-rated player in FC 26.
This year, Mbappe once again tops the rankings at 91 overall. However, he is no longer joined by Rodri or Haaland, whose ratings have dropped to 90.
Instead, it is Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah that sits alongside Mbappe at 91 overall.
The Egyptian has been rewarded for helping guide his side to another Premier League title, with Liverpool 7/5 favourites with football betting sites to retain their crown.
As for the women’s game, Aitana Bonmati continues as the top-rated female star, also at 91.
She is joined this season by team-mate Alexia Putellas, with the Barcelona and Spain duo topping the women’s rankings.

When Is The EA FC 26 Release Date?
This year’s EA Sports FC release date is scheduled worldwide for 26 September.
It will be available on Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
But for those wanting a taste of the action even sooner, pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition can grant players up to seven days of early access and other rewards.

How Much Will EA FC 26 Cost?
As with most things these days, the cost of video games continues to rise.
And EA FC 26 is no different, with even the standard edition on Playstation 5 now costing £69.99.
And the Ultimate Edition now comes in at an eye-watering £99.99.
For the extra £30, players will not only gain seven days of early-access.
They will also receive 6,000 FC points to spend in Ultimate Team, an additional Ultimate Team evolution spot, and a Season One premium pass.
