Emma Raducanu French Open

The Emma Raducanu stalker incident has seen a man’s name being passed on to Wimbledon officials, according to reports.

On Tuesday evening, the British tennis star was reduced to tears during her second round match against Karolina Muchova in Dubai.

Raducanu could be seen to hurry over to umpire Miriam Bley’s chair. Seemingly to hide behind it after an off-the-court incident. Viewers watching at home were left bewildered.

Light was shed on the mystifying incident hours after the spectator was ejected. The game continued straight after the ‘supporter’s’ removal. Then, it was revealed what really happened.

The Daily Mail explained how Raducanu was approached by the same man the previous evening. He was apparently ‘exhibiting fixated behaviour,’ the WTA confirmed in a statement.

During her match against Muchova, the same man was spotted in the crowd displaying odd and unruly behaviour. This clearly upset the 2021 US Open winner and was the reason for her becoming visibly upset.

Unsurprisingly, the man in question has now been banned from all future WTA events. Subsequently, his name will be put on a Wimbledon watchlist and likely the same for the other tennis majors.

On Monday Emma Raducanu was approached in a public area by a man who exhibited fixated behaviour.

This same individual was identified in the first few rows during Emma’s match on Tuesday and subsequently ejected. He will be banned from all WTA events pending a threat assessment,” the WTA confirmed.

After her narrow loss to Muchova in Dubai, Raducanu flew back home to the UK where she took to Instagram to update her worried and concerned fans.

Thank you for the messages of support. Difficult experience yesterday but I’ll be okay and proud of how I came back and competed despite what happened at the start of the match.

Thank you to Karolina for being a great sport and best of luck to her for the rest of the tournament,” the 22-year-old concluded.
