Eight players, who made Tuchel’s first squad, have not made the cut this time around. Phil Foden (Manchester City), Tino Livramento (Newcastle United), Dominic Solanke (Tottenham Hotspur), and Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United) have missed out. Fans reacted to Tuchel’s latest England squad selection, with many divided over Henderson’s and Toney’s shock inclusions.
Marcus Rashford (Aston Villa) and Marc Guehi (Chelsea) remain sidelined due to injury.
Jarrod Bowen has finished this season with 21 goal contributions in the Premier League (13 goals & 8 assists).

Conor Gallagher, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, and Ollie Watkins have returned, while Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah has earned his first senior-team call-up. Ivan Toney of Al-Ahli is the only player to be included despite playing outside Europe.
How Have England Fared in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers?
The first of England’s two fixtures in June is of great importance, as the Three Lions target a guaranteed spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
England are in Group K of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, alongside Albania, Latvia, Serbia, and Andorra. The team at the top of the rankings at the end of eight rounds will qualify directly for the tournament next year. The runners-up will go to the play-offs while the bottom-ranked three teams will crash out.
England have played two qualifiers so far, winning both. On March 21, England beat Albania 2-0 at Wembley Stadium, with debutant Myles Lewis-Skelly (20′) and Harry Kane (77′) scoring for the hosts.
On March 24, England claimed another big win, this time at Latvia’s expense. Reece James (38′), Harry Kane (68′), and Eberechi Eze (76′) scored a goal each in the 3-0 win.
With six points on the board and a healthy goal difference of +5, England have captured the top spot in Group K. Their Matchday 3 opponents, Andorra, are in fifth place, losing both their games so far and conceding four goals.

After the matches against Andorra and Senegal, England players will get a few months’ break from international football. They will return to action with a clash against Andorra in September.
