The Europa League play-off round has reached its conclusion with 16 teams left standing. All of which will hope to lift the trophy in Bilbao in May.
Among those teams are the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham. Both of whom know this is likely their only shot of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
The pair alongside Rangers were among eight teams to avoid the play-offs thanks to their position in the new league phase.
They will be drawn against one of the eight sides who managed to reach the last-16 via the play-offs.
When Is The Europa League Last-16 Draw?
The draw for the Europa League last-16, quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place on Friday, December 21 at 12pm UK time from UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
This will take place after the last-16 draw for the Champions League which starts at 11am. The draw for the Conference League will also take place at 1pm.

The draw for the Europa League last-16 will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 1 and Discovery+ for TNT Sports subscribers. There is the added bonus that it will be shown on TNT Sports’ YouTube channel for free.
Who Can Manchester United, Tottenham and Rangers Play?
Manchester United and Tottenham have the same set of potential opponents in the last-16 as one will play Real Sociedad and the other will face AZ Alkmaar.
The Red Devils last played Sociedad in this competition in the group stage of the 2022-23 season – with both sides winning 1-0 away from home. United played AZ Alkmaar in the 2019-20 season in this competition – winning 4-0 at home and drawing 0-0 away.
Tottenham beat AZ Alkmaar 1-0 in the league phase of the competition this season. However, they have never played Real Sociedad in a competitive game.
Rangers meanwhile will face one of Bodo/Glimt or Fenerbahce.
The Scottish side have never met Bodo/Glimt and last played Fenerbahce in third-round qualifying for the Champions League in the 2001-02 season.
