Leicester take on Everton in a major clash towards the bottom of the Premier League table on Saturday, and we’ve got the latest team news and predicted lineups included in our preview ahead of the action.

Everton vs Leicester Preview

David Moyes and his in-form Everton side take on Leicester in a crucial clash towards the bottom of the Premier League table on Saturday afternoon. With a victory, the Toffees can move 10 points clear of the relegation zone.

It seems strange saying that, as prior to Moyes’ arrival and Sean Dyche’s dismissal, the Merseyside club were firmly in a relegation battle. But now, after successive wins over Tottenham and Brighton, they are seven points clear of the drop zone in 16th and are just a point behind struggling Spurs with a game in hand.

Their win over the Seagulls last weekend, a 1-0 triumph on the south coast, came courtesy of Iliman Ndiaye’s first-half penalty. The Senegal international has three goals in his last four games across all competitions and is his side’s top goalscorer this term with seven goals in 25 appearances.

Of course, a defeat to the Foxes on Saturday, along with positive results for Wolves and Ipswich, would put the Toffees straight back into the relegation conversation, so the importance of this clash cannot be understated.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side, meanwhile are six points behind their Gameweek 24 opposition in 17th place in the English top-flight table, just one point clear of 18th place Wolves and 19th place Ipswich.

Leicester, like Everton, secured a vital win last weekend, overcoming Tottenham 2-1 in North London, courtesy of second-half goals from Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannouss, to mark an end to their eight-game winless run in the division.

The reverse fixture, played at the King Power back in September, ended in a 1-1 draw. In fact, this fixture has a history of throwing up stalemates, with the spoils being shared in four of their last six league meetings.

Everton Team News

The Toffees’ injury woes have worsened since the win over Brighton, as it has been confirmed that Orel Mangala is out for the season after sustaining an ACL injury, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been ruled out with a hamstring issue.

They join Armando Broja (ankle), Timothy Iroegbunam (ankle), Seamus Coleman (calf), Dwight McNeil (knee) and Youseff Chermiti (thigh) on the sidelines.

Leicester Team News

As for Leicester, they remain without long-term absentee Abdul Fatawu (knee) and Ricardo Pereira (thigh).

Wilfred Ndidi is also a doubt due to a thigh injury and is currently being assessed by the Foxes’ medical team, while first-choice goalkeeper Mads Hermansen could make his return from a groin injury.

Everton vs Leicester Prediction

The UK’s best football betting sites favour Everton to claim three points on Saturday at around 3/4, while a win for Leicester is valued at 7/2 and a draw is priced at around 11/4.

We at SportsCasting, like the bookmakers, expect the Toffees to prevail, and are backing them to extend their winning run in the league to three straight matches and to make it four wins in their last five across all competitions.

In-form Ndiaye should have ample opportunity to add to his five-goal tally in the league against a side that have conceded 49 goals this term, and you can back him to score at anytime at around 12/5.

Prediction: Everton 2-0 Leicester
