Florian Wirtz is on the verge of joining Liverpool for £116m, and his reported salary puts him among the highest earners at the club.
Florian Wirtz Liverpool Salary Breakdown
Liverpool will reportedly announce the signing of Florian Wirtz on Friday, with the German joining the Merseyside outfit in a £116m move from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
The Reds have been heavily linked with the 22-year-old throughout the transfer window, and Arne Slot’s side look to have beaten the likes of Manchester City and Bayern Munich to his signature.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Wirtz will earn an estimated £200,000 per week plus bonuses at Anfield.
He posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday: “More on Florian Wirtz: his salary will be in the region of £200,000 per week plus bonuses.
“Reports of higher salary are not confirmed as it will fit Liverpool’s current structure.”

If true, it would put him among the highest-earning players at Liverpool, with his £200,000 weekly wage equating to a yearly salary of £10,400,000, and that’s without the bonuses.
Reports suggest that Wirtz will sign a five-year deal until the summer of 2030. So in total, his contract will be worth an impressive £52,000,000 at the very minimum.
It represents a major increase from what he earned at Bayer Leverkusen.
Capology report that the youngster earned around £125,000 per week with the 2023-24 German top-flight champions, which comes out to around £6,400,000 a year.
Wirtz penned his latest deal with Leverkusen in June 2022, and it was due to expire in 2027.
Florian Wirtz Salary: How Does It Compare To Other Liverpool Stars?
Wirtz’s reported £200,000 per week salary is set to make him the third highest earner at Anfield, behind only Mohamed Salah (£400,000 per week) and Virgil van Dijk (£350,000 per week).
His mooted wage means he will earn more than long-serving Reds stars Andy Robertson (£160,000 per week), Alisson (£150,000 per week) and Joe Gomez (£85,000 per week).
He would’ve also been ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who Liverpool fans mocked after his ‘disasterclass’ debut for Real Madrid on Wednesday, as the England international right-back reportedly earned £180,000 per week before departing.
Additionally, Wirtz will earn more than Alexis Mac Allister (£150,000 per week), Ryan Gravenberch (£150,000 per week), Federico Chiesa (£150,000 per week), Diogo Jota (£140,000 per week), Darwin Nunez (£140,000 per week), Cody Gakpo (£120,000 per week) and more.

Liverpool Transfer News: Reds Close In On Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez
Wirtz technically becomes Liverpool’s fourth signing this summer, following ex-Leverkusen teammate Jeremie Frimpong through the door, along with goalkeepers Giorgi Mamardashvili and Armin Pecsi.
The Reds aren’t done there though, as they are reportedly closing in on Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez. They are expected to secure the left-back’s signature for a fee in the region of £45m.
Liverpool are also being linked with Newcastle star Alexander Isak, while they are reportedly eyeing a move for Lyon youngster Malick Fofana, alongside Manchester United and Chelsea.
In terms of outgoings, Caoimhin Kelleher has already joined Brentford and Alexander-Arnold has departed for Real Madrid, and more could soon follow out the door.
Scottish left-back Andy Robertson has been linked with a move away to Atletico Madrid, while Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa are being linked with exits, and Luis Diaz is drawing interest from LaLiga giants Barcelona and Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
