Former Celtic managers Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers are set to go head-to-head for the Leeds United job amid talks of Daniel Farke’s dismissal.
Former Celtic Managers Go Head-To-Head For Leeds Job
Pressure is mounting on Daniel Farke at Leeds, and reports suggest that former Celtic managers Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers are set to battle it out for the job if it becomes vacant.
Farke is the favourite to go next in the Premier League sack race betting odds market.

It comes as the Whites sit in a lowly 18th place in the English top-flight table, having lost each of their last three in the division. In total, they have won just three league matches this term.
Already in the midst of a relegation battle, reports suggest Elland Road chiefs are considering parting ways with the German if results don’t pick up ahead of the Christmas period.
Given their fixture schedule, unfortunately for Farke, this scenario seems highly unlikely.
They travel to the Etihad to take on Manchester City next, before welcoming high-flying Chelsea to West Yorkshire, followed by another home game against reigning champions Liverpool.
It is believed that Farke has just one more game to save his job at Leeds, making Saturday’s clash with Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens a must-win for the newly promoted outfit.
Although City have lost their last two, the disparity in quality between their squad and the Whites’ is clear to see, therefore Farke’s dismissal is seemingly an inevitability at this point.
Both Postecoglou and Rodgers are fancied among the leading candidates to replace him.
Will Leeds Go For Postecoglou or Rodgers?
Despite both managers being heavily linked with the expected soon-to-be vacant managerial role at Elland Road, only one is favoured in the next Leeds manager betting odds market.
Priced at 11/4 to come in instead of Farke, Rodgers leads the market as the outright favourite.
The Northern Irishman departed Celtic Park last month after a string of poor results and failing to qualify for the Champions League, resigning from his role following a 3-1 loss to Hearts.

This is despite winning the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish League Cup in 2024/25.
Martin O’Neill was appointed as his interim replacement. French coach Wilfried Nancy, who is favoured in the next Celtic manager betting odds market, is closing in on the permanent role.
Rodgers, who has also enjoyed spells as manager of Swansea City, Liverpool and Leicester City in the English top-flight, is said to be keen on making his return to the Premier League.
He has not managed in the division since being sacked by the latter in April 2023.
Postecoglou, meanwhile, is priced at 12/1 to be appointed the next Leeds United manager.
The 60-year-old, like Rodgers, had a successful trophy-laden spell in Glasgow between 2021 and 2023, earning him a high-profile move to the English capital with Tottenham Hotspur.
He guided Spurs to their first trophy in 17 years by winning the Europa League in 2024/25. Despite this, he was dismissed by the club after finishing in 17th place in the Premier League table.

Since then, he made his return to the dugout with Nottingham Forest earlier this season.
His stint at the City Ground was incredibly underwhelming, as he failed to win a single game and became the shortest-reigning permanent manager in the league’s history, lasting just 39 days.
It is unknown whether the Australian is willing to take on his third managerial job in five months, however reports suggest that Elland Road chiefs greatly admire his style.
