Liverpool Stars Likely To Score in FPL Gameweek 8

October’s international window has drawn to a close, and with the Premier League scheduled to return on Saturday afternoon, we’re closing in on the FPL deadline for Gameweek 8.

Managers are continuing to chop and change their teams, with many questioning which players they should draft into their squads in order to accumulate the maximum amount of points.

Calculated by using the bookmakers’ latest any time goalscorer odds ahead of the weekend, we have formed a list of players with the highest goalscoring probability in FPL for Gameweek 8 to aid managers in their process of selecting midfield and forward players.

Odds imply that managers should look at bringing in a trio of Liverpool stars.

Those are Alexander Isak, Mohamed Salah and Hugo Ekitike. The former has a goalscoring probability of 52.4%, while Salah and Ekitike are 48.8% likely to score vs Manchester United.

Despite Salah being among the most likely players to score in the division this weekend, made even more likely by his excellent goalscoring record against the Red Devils over the years, he is among the most transferred out players in FPL for Gameweek 8.

He is also among the fallers in the latest FPL price changes for Gameweek 8.

Ranked ahead of Isak, Salah and Ekitike in our list, and dubbed the most likely to score in the Premier League this weekend, is none other than Manchester City talisman Erling Haaland.

Following his hat-trick for Norway in their 5-0 win over Israel last week, the Norwegian has now netted in 10 consecutive matches for club and country. This includes seven goals and one assist in his last five English top-flight appearances.

He and his Cityzens teammates face off against David Moyes’ Everton at home on Saturday.

City’s Omar Marmoush (38.1%) and Phil Foden (36.4%) also have a high likelihood of scoring.

Other notable stars with high goalscoring probabilities include the likes of Jean-Philippe Mateta (47.6%), Viktor Gyokeres (45.5%), Joao Pedro (41.7%) and Nick Woltemade (36.4%).

Some interesting differential and price-effective options include Richarlison, who is priced at ÂŁ6.7m and is 42.1% likely to score, and Igor Thiago, priced at ÂŁ6.1m and 36.4% likely to score.

Richarlison and Tottenham face off against Aston Villa at home on Sunday. Meanwhile, Thiago and Brentford round off the gameweek away at struggling West Ham on Monday night.
