Reports in Italy claim Roma will look to reunite with Liverpool forward Mo Salah at the end of the season.
It’s suggested that interest from Saudi Arabia in the Egyptian has cooled over a potential transfer this month, and the likelihood is that Salah will remain at Anfield until at least the summer.
Beyond that timeframe, Salah’s next move is up in the air, but Roma are ready to offer him a swansong in Serie A.
Salah penned a new deal at Liverpool last season, which ties him down at the club until the summer of 2027 and any move to Roma is likely to be on a loan deal.
His staggering wages remain the big obstacle, with Salah reportedly earning around €24million – a fee way out of Roma’s reach.
Another hiccup preventing an unlikely deal from happening this month is the fact that Roma will be unable to register him as a non-EU player, as all their slots have been filled.
Salah spent two years with Roma before his permanent move to Liverpool in 2017.
