This week sees the Genesis Championship take centre-stage on DP World Tour, with some of the world’s best golfers featuring at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea.
Although not a totally star-studded field, there are still some huge names in action in Incheon. Former Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama leads the field, with another former Augusta conqueror Adam Scott also in action.
SportsCasting are on hand to provide both outright and each-way betting tips as well as in-depth analysis, predictions, a preview and the latest odds.
Genesis Championship Betting Tips
Although backing winners is tricky in the world of golf sometimes, last week was a huge success with two of our DP World India Championship betting tips landing.
Tommy Fleetwood claimed victory in Delhi on a score of -22, which was our outright betting tip. Not to mention our 45/1 each way tip in Thriston Lawrence finishing in a tie for third, thus producing another winner.
Our Ryder Cup betting tips last month were also a roaring success, after predicting Team Europe to win and Fleetwood to be Europe’s top points scorer.
This week, we are back with a further three selections for the Genesis Championship on the DP World Tour. We have once again selected one outright betting tip and two each-way selections for this week’s event in the Indian capital.
They are as follows:
- Sungjae Im WIN @ 16/1
- Thriston Lawrence E/W @ 28/1
- Ben Schmidt E/W @ 90/1
Genesis Championship Predictions
Sungjae Im to Win @ 16/1
Two-time PGA Tour winner Sungjae Im is amongst the Genesis Championship favourites this week at odds of 16/1, and it’s clear to see why.
The 27-year-old has been finding some decent form again of late after year or two of struggles on the golf course. Im’s last outing saw him finish inside the top 20 at the Baycurrent Classic, which was a step in the ring direction for the Korean.
This week, Im returns to Jack Nicklaus Gold Club Korea where he has won before. Im was crowned Genesis Championship champion back in 2019, and also finished runner-up two years ago to Park Sang-hyun.
This is evidently a golf course and tournament that Im is a fan of, hence why he is our outright betting tip for success this week.
Im has proved on several occasions that he can compete with the best golfers in the world on a regular basis. If he brings his best stuff to Incheon this week, we feel he has every chance of claiming a second Genesis Championship title.
At generous odds of 16/1, Sungjae Im simply had to be our first and outright Genesis Championship betting tip.
Thriston Lawrence Each-Way @ 28/1
Our second selection of Genesis Championship betting tips sees South African golfer Thriston Lawrence selected as an each-way fancy at odds of 28/1.
After finishing in a tie for third last week as our each-way pick at odds of 45/1, we are once again backing Lawrence to replicate that and have another strong showing in Korea this week.
Lawrence has shown on countless occasions that he has what it takes to win on the DP World Tour. He has five European Tour victories to his name, including just over a month ago at the Omega European Masters.
The 28-year-old can be inconsistent at times, but when he’s on song he is an exceptionally talented golfer. This has been proved ten-fold of late, with Lawrence coming close at the DP World India Championship on Sunday past after a final round of -7 par.
His odds have dropped due to his strong displays of late, but 28/1 still seems like a reasonable each-way bet for an in-form player and proven European Tour winner.
Back Thriston Lawrence to finish inside the top 10 this week at odds of 28/1 as our second Genesis Championship betting tip.
Ben Schmidt Each-Way @ 90/1
Ben Schmidt is perhaps a name not recognised by a lot of golf fans, but the young English talent will certainly be a big name in the sport in years to come.
The 23-year-old only really began to compete regularly on the DP World Tour this season, with the youngster even achieving a hole-in-one at the British Masters earlier this year.
The Yorkshireman won multiple titles at junior level as an amateur, and has taken his golf talent into the professional world extremely well ever since.
Schmidt finished third at the Danish Golf Championship earlier this year, as well as a fifth place finish at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters too.
Last week was another strong showing from the Englishman, finishing T11 at the DP World India Championship ahead of a whole host of big names.
Schmidt even finished above the great Rory McIlroy last week in Delhi, and comes to Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea this week full of confidence and in fine form.
At odds of 90/1, backing Ben Schmidt each-way seems a no brainer and is SportsCasting‘s third and final Genesis Championship betting tip.
Genesis Championship Preview
All eyes are on Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea this week for the nineth Genesis Championship since it’s inception in 2017.
All eight previous staging’s of the Genesis Championship have been won by a Korea golfer, with several past winners and the reigning champion in the field this week once again.

There is a $4m purse on offer this week in Genesis Championship prize money, with the winner set to pocket $680,000.
The Genesis Championship has been an ever-present on the Korean Tour since 2017, also becoming part of the DP World Tour for the very first time last year.
Given it’s popularity and success, it continues to be a leading event on the roster now year in, year out. Rory McIlroy’s next tournament will not be this week in Incheon, with the Northern Irishman opting to miss out after featuring in India last week.
