Hideki Matsuyama - Genesis Invitation 2024 Winner - 2025 Genesis Invitational Prize Money

As the PGA Tour heads to the famous Torrey Pines GC this week for Tiger Woods’ own event, we assess the 2025 Genesis Invitational prize money on offer and full purse breakdown.

Below we have outlined the FULL purse breakdown for all 50 golfers who make the cut this week at Torrey Pines. Any player who misses the cut won’t earn anything in prize money, with the full purse split between the 50 players who make the weekend.

$20 Million Purse On Offer At The Genesis Invitational 2025

This week’s Genesis Invitational event in San Diego, California will see the 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama look to defend the title he won last year.

This event, also known as the Los Angeles Open, is hosted by none other than the great Tiger Woods. Woods was meant to participate in the event this week too, but has withdrawn from the field due to his mother passing away last week.

As this is an elevated, invitational event on the PGA Tour, this also means the prize money and purse is inflated too. This of course attracts all of the best players in the world, with a star-studded line-up expected at Torrey Pines this week.

As the reigning champion, Hideki Matsuyama will be hoping to go back-to-back at the Genesis Invitational. However, he will face still competition from some of the best players in the world of golf today.

World number one Scottie Scheffler, four-time major champion Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Ludvig Aberg, Collin Morikawa, Hideki Matsuyama, Jordan Spieth and Patrick Cantlay are just some of the names present at the 2025 Genesis Invitational this week.

Xander Schauffele is amongst the notable omissions, as are LIV Golf stars such as Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm.

Scottie Scheffler is the front-runner with the best golf betting sites in the UK – with McIlroy, Morikawa, Thomas and Matsuyama in amongst the favourites too.

All the action gets underway on Thursday 13th February, with the Genesis Invitational taking centre stage this week on the PGA Tour. Who will lift the coveted trophy come Sunday, presented by Tiger Woods himself?

The Prize Money For The Genesis Invitational Winner Is $3.6 Million

Whoever goes on to lift the trophy come Sunday will be in for a bumper payday and large share of the 2025 Genesis Invitational prize money pot.

Whoever clinches victory come Sunday will leave Torrey Pines with $3.6 million extra in the bank, with the runner-up also pocketing $2.2m. The players that finishes third ($1.4m) and fourth ($1m) will also take home seven figures, with fifth pocketing $840,000.

Even the player that finishes inside the top 50 players will be guaranteed a payday of at least $52,000. Not bad for four days of work!

Below is a table outlining the FULL 2025 Genesis Invitational prize money and purse breakdown. Each of the 69 players will be battling it out to win a parge share of the purse, as well as being crowned champion at Tiger Woods’ star-studded event.
