How much is the Hero World Challenge prize money 2024 will be a popular question ahead of the Tiger Woods-hosted event at the Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas this weekend – with world number one Scottie Scheffler the star attraction.

With that in mind, we’ve listed the FULL Hero World Challenge prize money breakdown and purse that the 20 competing players will be in with a chance of winning.

$5m Purse On Offer At The Hero World Challenge 2024

This week’s Hero World Challenge event in the Bahamas is normally more of a star-studded event – with Tiger Woods behind the tournament, but the former world number one won’t be playing due to injury and will take up a golf hosting role instead.

Other big names like Rory McIlroy, Tony Finau, Hideki Matsuyama, Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa are also missing, plus two-time winner Victor Hovland is still injured.

Which leaves the current world number one Scottie Scheffler carrying the can.

Scheffler is the clear front-runner when looking at the field of 20 players with the best golf betting sites in the UK – with the next in the market Justin Thomas, Ludvig Aberg and Partick Cantlay, but someway adrift of the top US player.

Therefore, the Hero World Challenge prize money purse of $5m looks there for the taking for Scottie Scheffler, who also won the event last year in 2023.

He’ll be looking to finish 2024 on a high and add this event to the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Players Championship, the Masters, the Heritage, the Memorial, the Travelers Championship, the Olympic gold medal and the Tour Championship – that he’s already won this season.

The 2024 Hero World Challenge Prize Money For The Winner Is $1m

With that in mind, Scottie Scheffler will be the big fancy to win the first prize here in the Hero World Challenge golf event – which is $1m to the winner.

While the runner-up will walk away with $450,00 and the third will win $300,000.

Even the player that finishes last in 20th will net $150,000 for their troubles.
