Diminutive US golfer Brian Harman is bang in contention at this week’s Open Championship, but many fans will notice he’s not the tallest hitter on the tour. So, just how tall is Brian Harman – the former Open winner?
Open Championship Hopeful Brian Harman Height Revealed At 5f 7in (1.7m)
He might not be the biggest, but the Brian Harman height of 5f 7in doesn’t stop the US golfer hitting the ball a ‘fair way’.
The current world ranked 26th Harman has had a cracking opening two rounds at the 2025 Open Championship at Royal Portrush – ending day two -8.
Brian Harman shot -6 under on the Friday after a steady 69 (-2) on day one.

Brian Harman Won The Open In 2023Â
Brian Harman has also proved in the past that height doesn’t matter when it comes to winning the Open.
The 5f 7in golfer won the Claret Jug only two years ago in 2023 and is back playing at the top of his game at Royal Portrush in 2025.
Harman won his Open at Royal Liverpool in 2023 – powering away by six strokes, with Jason Day, Tom Kim, Jon Rahm and Sepp Straka all tied for second.
The Open remains the only major Harman has won, with a second in the US Open in 2017 his best other finish.
If Harman can stay at the top of the 2025 Open leaderboard he’ll become the first player to regain the Open since Ernie Els, who won his second Claret Jug in 2012.
The players that make the weekend cut will be hoping to avoid an Open golf play-off on Sunday.
With the Open prize money this year seeing the players battling in out for a $17m purse and the winner walking away with $3.1m of that.
Are There Any Other Short Golfers On The Tour?
Yuto Katsuragawa (5ft 6in, 1.67m)
Japan’s Yuto Katsuragawa measures in at just 5f 6in and so is an inch shorter than the Brian Harman height.
However, despite his small frame Katsuragawa still hits the ball over 300 yards – which makes him longer than the average player on the PGA Tour.
He was also T47th in the 2022 Open Championship at St Andrews.
Zac Blair (5ft 6in, 1.68m)
From the US, Zac Blair is another well-known short golfer, who plays on the PGA Tour.
He won the 2019 Ellie Mae Classic on the Korn Ferry Tour and took silver in the 2023 Travelers Championship.
Blair is also famous for playing with Tiger Woods, when the former world number one played one of his worst-ever rounds (85).
Alejandro Tosti (5ft 6in, 1.68m)
Argentine golfer Alejandro Tosti is another of the small hitters and currently plays on the PGA Tour.
Tosti moved to the PGA Tour after playing well in the Korn Ferry Tour – with four top-five finishes and a win in the Pinnacle Bank Championship by AETHA.
Like Yuto Katsuragawa, Tosti also hits the ball a long way for a small man – his average drives are 302.1 yards, but in past campaigns has averaged 324 yards.
