After their relationship ended at the beginning of October, Ilia Topuria’s wife Giorgina Badell has now officially filed for divorce.
Badell has reportedly filed for divorce and is looking to pursue 50% of Topuria’s assets.

Ilia Topuria’s wife has reportedly filed for divorce following the pair’s split at the beginning of October.
After going their separate ways at the beginning of last months, it is now being reported that Giorgina Uzcategui Badell has gone a step further and officially filed for divorce from her former long-term partner.
The news comes just as it looks like Topuria’s next fight is about to be confirmed, with several rumours that ‘El Matador’ will return to the octagon in March/April of 2026 to defend his UFC Lightweight Title.

Topuria vs Pimblett was confirmed for the UFC 324 main event, with the bout scheduled to take place on January 24 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. However, since revealing he is going through personal issues, Topuria’s return has been delayed.
In the meantime before any official fight announcement, Topuria is having to deal with a divorce settlement. After his reported split from wife Giorgina back in October, it now seems that Badell wants to make their separation official with a divorce imminent.
Going through divorce is probably the last thing Topuria wants to deal with whilst preparing for the biggest fight of his life. However, it seems that his wife Giorgina wants to get it sorted sooner rather than later.
Perhaps Badell’s timing of this divorce settlement has been done deliberately as she knows her husband is scheduled to fight again in a few months time.

Ilia Topuria’s Wife Pursuing 50% Of His Assets
With Giorgina Badell reportedly filing for divorce from her husband Ilia Topuria, she is said to also be pursuing 50% of Topuria’s assets in the process.
With Topuria’s net worth currently estimated at $2m+, Badell could be in for a big payday should the settlement go her way. Whether the divorce works out in her favour or not remains to be seen. It could be a lengthy process and take months, perhaps even longer, to sort.
After stopping Charles Oliveira in one round to become the new UFC Lightweight Champion last time out, ‘El Matador’ and his wife Giorgina spent time celebrating their victory together inside the octagon and after the fight.
The pair even did a photoshoot with both of Topuria’s UFC Titles that he has won in his career. However, just over three months later the pair split up. They even deleted all social media posts of each other, with Giorgina also unfollowing the 28-year-old two-weight UFC king on Instagram as well.

Prior to Topuria and Giorgina Badell breaking up, the pair had reportedly been dating for around seven or eight years. The former loved-up couple got married in 2024, with their marriage seemingly only lasting a year or so.
It seems there is no way back for Ilia Topuria and his wife Giorgina Uzcategui Badell, who will also have to share custody of their two children.
Outside of the cage Topuria’s life seems to be all-change, but he will be hoping that he remains the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet inside the octagon and continues to defeat every man put in front of him.
