Birmingham travel to the King Power to take on Leicester in Friday’s sole Championship fixture, and our betting tips for the clash can be backed in an 11/2 bet builder.
This weekend’s Championship action kicks off with Leicester hosting Birmingham on Friday evening, where the visitors will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start in the second tier.
The Blues, who won the League One title last term, drew their season opener against Ipswich and have since recorded back-to-back league victories over Blackburn Rovers and Oxford.
They also beat Sheffield United in the first round of the Carabao Cup but suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat to third tier side Port Vale in the second round on Tuesday night.
Chris Davies’ side are currently in fifth place in the table.
Marti Cifuentes’ Foxes, meanwhile, are in seventh place after recording two wins and a loss. The East Midlanders claimed a narrow 1-0 win over newly-promoted Charlton last weekend.
Leicester, boasting the advantage of playing at home, head into this one as 29/20 favourites with UK betting sites. Birmingham are rated at around 9/5 to claim all three points on the road.
The pair last met during the 2023-24 season. They faced off on three occasions that term, with the Foxes prevailing in all three, as the Blues were relegated to League One.

- Abdul Fatawu – Over 0.5 Shots on Target @ 5/6
Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 4/5
Our first tip for Friday night’s clash between Leicester and Birmingham is to back both teams to score throughout the course of the fixture, priced by leading bookmakers at around 4/5.
The Foxes have scored at least one goal in all four of their competitive games thus far this term, while the same can be said for all three of the Blues’ matches in the Championship.
This fixture typically throws up plenty of goals too, especially in the Championship, as both teams have got on the scoresheet in each of their last seven meetings in the second tier.
We expect that run to be extended to eight consecutive matches here.
Kyogo Furuhashi to Score at Any Time @ 15/8
Birmingham were planning a swoop for Michail Antonio in the summer, but instead, they opted to sign former Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi from Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais.
The Japan international is yet to open his account in the league, however he netted the opener in the 2-1 League Cup win over Sheffield United earlier in the month.

He accumulated 1.03 expected goals (xG) in the victory over Oxford last time out, and despite failing to find the net, the fact that he’s getting into goalscoring positions is a promising sign.
Priced at around 15/8, we’re backing the 30-year-old to find his goalscoring touch in Leicester.
Abdul Fatawu – Over 0.5 Shots on Target @ 5/6
Our final tip for Friday’s game is to back Abdul Fatawu to register one shot on target.
The Ghanaian returned from an eight-month layoff in pre-season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury at the end of 2024 and has kicked off the campaign in style.
He impressed in the win over Sheffield Wednesday in Leicester’s opener, where he registered two shots on target, as well as last time out against Charlton, where he netted the winner.
A constant threat in attack, Fatawu is a strong candidate to hit the target at least once.
You can back this tip at a price of around 5/6 with top bookmakers in the United Kingdom.
