Chelsea star Liam Delap and his girlfriend have officially split up, with the influencer confirming the breakup during a Q&A on Instagram.
Liam Delap Splits With Influencer Girlfriend
Less than two weeks after helping Chelsea win the Club World Cup in the United States, Liam Delap has officially split up with his influencer now ex-girlfriend, Leanna Paul.
Delap joined the Blues from relegated side Ipswich Town for £30m at the start of June.
It came off the back of an impressive first full campaign in the English top-flight, as the 22-year-old registered 12 goals and two assists for the Tractor Boys in 37 appearances.
The England youth international opened his goalscoring account for Chelsea while stateside, netting in the 3-0 win over Esperance Tunis in the group stage.

But while he thrived in footballing terms, his life away from the pitch was filled with drama.
During the Club World Cup, rumours circulated regarding his relationship, with outlets reporting that he and his model girlfriend had split. She has since confirmed the news on Instagram.
In a Q&A, Paul was asked whether she was single and responded: “Don’t usually like talking about my personal life on here, I like to keep that private.
“But since I keep getting asked… yes, I am single.”
It follows on from entertainment outlet Glam Set & Match reporting that the Scottish influencer had grown tired of Delap’s rumoured wandering eye.
A source told GSM: “She immediately blocked him as she didn’t believe the first story, but after seeing evidence of her boyfriend speaking to a girl, she immediately phoned him when he was in Miami and told him that she was breaking up with him.”
Paul then added fuel to the rumours with some cryptic posts on social media, with one reading: “You can’t keep someone loyal by loving them harder.”
The pair were in a relationship together for over a year.
Delap Split Follows Cole Palmer Breakup Rumours
Chelsea’s new number nine isn’t the only Blues star to be embroiled in drama this month, with Club World Cup Golden Ball winner Cole Palmer also reportedly splitting up with his girlfriend.
The 23-year-old and his rumoured now ex-girlfriend Connie Grace have unfollowed each other on Instagram. They have removed all photos of one another on their respective accounts, too.
Grace was nowhere to be seen during the Club World Cup celebrations either.
Off the back of the news, Chelsea fans are convinced that Palmer is about to have his best ever season at Stamford Bridge.
He totalled 18 goals and 14 assists in 54 appearances last term, with football betting sites pricing the England international at 14/1 to be the league top scorer this season.
In addition to winning the Club World Cup, in which Palmer scored twice and provided an assist in the final, he played a key role in helping the Blues win the UEFA Conference League.
He assisted twice in the final as the East Londoners came from behind to beat Real Betis 4-1.
The Blues return to competitive action with their season opener against Crystal Palace on 17 August. Before then, they host Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan in two pre-season outings.
Ahead of the new campaign, the bookies have Enzo Maresca’s men as fourth favourites to lift the Premier League title, priced at around 8/1.
