  • Legion XIII WIN @ 11/4
  • Torque GC WIN @ 6/1

LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship Predictions

Legion XIII to Win @ 11/4

Legion XIII are the outright favourites with golf betting sites to win LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship this year, claiming the team title for the very first time.

It’s clear to see why this is the case, with team captain Jon Rahm in red-hot form right now. Despite not winning a tournament on LIV this year, Rahm won the Individual Championship with a quite remarkable display of elite golfing consistency across the season.

He is in relentlessly good form, as are some of his Legion XIII teammates too. Here at SportsCasting, we feel that Rahm could guide his team to the LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship title come Sunday.

Tyrrell Hatton is one of Rahm’s teammates on Legion XIII, who has automatically qualified for the Ryder Cup next month too. The remainder of Legion XIII is made up of youngsters Tom McKibbin and Caleb Surratt, both of whom have showed signs of quality this season too.

Rahm will probably opt to use Hatton for the quarter-final and semi-final match-play format, leaving McKibbin and Surratt to pair in the foursomes. If Rahm and Hatton both win their respective singles matches, it’s difficult to see Legion XIII failing to progress to Sunday’s stroke-play.

At odds of 11/4 as the outright favourites, it’s hard to see anyone being able to stop Rahm and co from lifting the title at LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship for the very first time.

Torque GC to Win @ 6/1

Our secondary selection to Legion XIII is that of Torque GC, priced as the 6/1 third favourites to reign supreme at LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship this weekend.

Torque’s Joaquin Niemann surpassed Brooks Koepka with the most individual LIV Golf wins in history earlier this season, and his team have performed consistently throughout the full campaign too.

Although Torque only won one of the 13 team events this season, they were near the top of the leaderboard in almost every single one.

Torque came fourth in the team leaderboard after the 13 individual events and are arguably one of the most consistent teams in the field.

Led by serial winner Niemann, the likes of Sebastian Munoz, Carlos Ortiz and Mito Pereira can feed of his brilliance and put it right up to the likes of Legion XIII, Crushers, Fireballs and 4Aces in the match-play format.

If Torque make it to Sunday’s final for the stroke-play final round, they could be hard to stop. At odds of 6/1, Torque GC are our second bet for success at LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship.

LIV Golf Michigan Preview

All eyes are on The Cardinal at Saint John’s this week as LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship takes centre-stage in what is the final individual event of the season before the Team Championship finale in Michigan next week.

The action begins on Friday, with 12 teams facing off in six quarter-final match-play ties. These consist of two singles matches and one foursomes match. The six winners will then progress to Saturday’s semi-finals. Once again, the format is the same.

The three winning semi-finalists from Saturday will make it to Sunday’s final stroke-play event. This is a straight shoot-out with all four players from each team in action. The team with the lowest combined score after Sunday’s 18-holes are then crowned the LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship winners.

Last year, Cameron Smith’s Ripper GC reigned supreme, with Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC winning in 2023 and Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces winning the first one back in 2022.

Whichever team wins the team event on Sunday will be crowned the 2025 LIV Golf Team Champions. So, who will it be?

Jon Rahm’s net worth is already upward of $100m, but a win here for his team Legion XIII, who are the favourites, will further add to his riches. In total there is $50m in prize money up for grabs, with the team champions sharing $14m between the four players.

What an enthralling week of golf we are in for at The Cardinal this week in Plymouth, Michigan!
