Here’s our Man United player ratings vs Fulham as the Red Devils picked up a priceless 1-0 win at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
Man United Edge Past Fulham
Lisandro Martinez scored the only goal of the game as Man United picked up a vital three points at Fulham on Sunday evening.
The Argentine international saw his 78th minute effort loop up off the unfortunate Sasa Lukic and underneath Bernd Leno’s crossbar.
Martinez can count himself lucky he was still on the pitch after a cynical foul on Adama Traore went unpunished earlier in the second-half.
Nonetheless, United left Craven Cottage with a much-needed win to their name. For boss Ruben Amorim, it is just his 4th Premier League victory in 12 attempts.
If it wasn’t for the late goal line clearance from Toby Collyer, it could have been worse for the Portuguese gaffer with the Cottagers reeling at the loss.
The game itself was a drab affair with a record low of just 13 goal attempts in a single top-flight fixture this season. The Red Devils only effort on target was the winner.
Amad Diallo had a goal chalked off via the VAR with Rodrigo Muniz blazing over in the final few seconds. The smash-and-grab win moves United up to 12th, just two places and four points behind the west Londoners.
Man United Player Ratings Vs Fulham (3-4-2-1)
Andre Onana – 6
Will be hugely relieved at keeping a clean sheet. Hit a number of hopeful long balls but was able to thwart Alex Iwobi.
Matthijs de Ligt – 7
A solid enough display from the Dutchman whose last-ditch tackles proved vital. Subbed off just before the hour mark.
Harry Maguire – 8
Looked composed and dominant in the air against Raul Jimenez. Arguably United’s standout player in the unimpressive win.
Lisandro Martinez – 8
Never shies away from a challenge and was lucky not to have received his marching orders. Scored the winner and looked assured when it mattered.
Noussair Mazraoui – 6
Appeared to be rotated throughout the contest after starting on the left wing. Failed to impress when usually he stands out.
Manuel Ugarte – 6
Put in an admirable performance but wasn’t very positive. Was too anonymous but is still getting used to the rigours of Premier League football.
Come for the goal, stay for the celebrations 😍

Bruno Fernandes – 5
Appeared to be fatigued at times and wasn’t his usual creative self. Normally Man United‘s best player but certainly not on this occasion.
Diogo Dalot – 5
Played on his favoured side down the right but completely flew under the radar. Alex Iwobi had too much success and even swapping flanks after half-time failed to pay dividends.
Amad Diallo – 6
United’s young hopeful was closed down frequently and he really failed to find his rhythm. Late goal was ruled out for offside.
Alejandro Garnacho – 6
Was probably United’s best attacking threat but failed to hurt the Fulham backline. Looked positive with his dribbling and sharp runs.
Rasmus Hojlund – 4
A night to forget for the Dane who was seriously underwhelming. Was easily dominated by Fulham’s defence before being hauled off.
Substitutes
Leny Yoro – 7 (on for De Light 58′)
Defended well when called upon. Solid performance.
Joshua Zirkzee – 5 (on for Holjund 58′)
Looked better than Hojlund but not by much.
Toby Collyer – 6 (on for Ugarte 76′)
Late goal line clearance preserved all three points for United.
Tyrell Malacia – 5 (on for Mazraoui 81′)
Came on to help defensively. Did his job well enough.
Kobbie Mainoo – 5 (on for Alejandro Garnacho 81′)
Similar to Malacia, brought on to ensure the win.
