Manchester City have launched their new all-black away kit for the 2025/26 season, with some fans labelling it as the ‘shirt of the season’.
Manchester City Launch 2025/26 Away Kit
Premier League giants Manchester City have unveiled their new all-black away kit for 2025/26.
The PUMA design is a nod to the club’s oldest-known kit, as it takes inspiration from a jersey dating back to 1884, when the Cityzens were based in Gorton.
It features a black base with metallic details throughout.
Their website reads:Â “The all-black design takes inspiration from a jersey dating back to 1884, when the Club were based in Gorton.
“And 141 years later, that kit is now reimagined with a slick new design, combining metallic details with a black base to create a stunning and special Away jersey.
“It honours Manchester Cityâs incredible legacy, while also celebrating our exciting future as the Clubâs push for top honours domestically and abroad continues.”

Black shorts and black socks complete the full kit, which makes its debut on Saturday, 9 August, when City face Serie B outfit Palermo in a pre-season friendly at the Renzo Barbera Stadium.
It is available to purchase both online and in-store.
Replica versions and authentic versions are available, both long-sleeved and short-sleeved, with adult sizes costing ÂŁ85-ÂŁ90 and ÂŁ130. Kids’ jerseys cost ÂŁ60-ÂŁ65.
City Fans Dub New Kit ‘Shirt of the Season’
The release has garnered a positive response from Manchester City supporters on social media, with some going as far as to describe the kit as the ‘shirt of the season’.
One fan wrote:Â “That is absolutely stunning. Shirt of the season for me!”
Another added:Â “All-black kits are the best. 2025/26 Premier League winners written all over it.”
A third City fan responded to the release by saying:Â “10/10, this might be an all-timer kit.”
Countless others dubbed the jersey a 10/10, but Cityzens fans weren’t the only ones that were appreciative of the design, with rival fans praising the new shirt.
One Liverpool fan said: “Rivalries aside, that is lovely fair play,” while a Manchester United fan replied: “I hate to say it but that is banging, much better than our away top.”
Manchester City 2025/26 Home Kit
Manchester City have now released two of their reported three Premier League kits for the 2025/26 season, with just the third kit left to be unveiled ahead of the new campaign.
Their home kit was released prior to their participation at the Club World Cup.
For the first time in the club’s history, it features a diagonal ‘sash’ across the front. Their website states that the modern design has been ‘reimagined for the new generation’.
The sky blue home jersey follows the same pricing structure as the new away kit.

City’s 2025/26 campaign gets underway next month. Their Premier League opening day fixture is away at Wolves on Saturday, 16 August. They are favoured to come out on top at Molineux.
The Cityzens are rated as the third favourites to win the league. Behind Liverpool and Arsenal in the market, the best football betting sites have them at 3/1 to be crowned champions.
Additionally, star striker Erling Haaland is the bookmakers’ favourite to finish as the division’s top scorer. The best PayPal betting sites have him at 11/10 to achieve the feat.
