Man City Make Their Mark Against Wolves
Under the tutelage of manager Pep Guardiola, Manchester City enjoyed a thumping start to the 2025/26 Premier League campaign. Away at Molineux, the Cityzens cruised to a 4-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Erling Haaland opened the scoring for City in the 34th minute, finishing off Rico Lewis’ layoff. Three minutes later, Premier League debutant Tijjani Reijnders doubled the visitors’ lead, drilling a powerful left-footed shot into the bottom-right corner.

Just past the hour mark, Reijnders turned provider, setting up Haaland’s goal. The former Milan star’s stellar performance has made him the most transferred player in FPL ahead of Matchday 2.
Substitute Rayan Cherki scored the final goal of the game, from outside of the box, in the 81st minute.
Thomas Frank Secures Winning Premier League Start at Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur finished 17th in the Premier League last season. However, they went the distance in the UEFA Europa League, securing a place in the Champions League. Despite winning the Europa League, Ange Postecoglou lost his job to Thomas Frank due to Spurs’ poor Premier League performance.
Frank’s Spurs narrowly lost the UEFA Super Cup to Paris Saint-Germain, but they bounced back with a win in the Premier League. Against the newly promoted Burnley, Richarlison scored a sensational brace (10′, 60′) and Brennan Johnson (66′) nicked a goal to secure a 3-0 win.
Now, they will make the tricky trip to the blue side of Manchester, and the stats are not in their favour.

Erling Haaland, meanwhile, is the bookmakers’ favourite to get on the scoresheet, priced at 7/10.
